Point taken, Trump will be Trump no matter where he is. But every now and then, such as a UN speech, the mainstream press should acknowledge just how crazy he is. Vs the sanewashing he gets every time. I don’t expect better from Trump. But we deserve better from the press.

This was not just some 3am Truth Social post or shouted comments on the White House lawn. It was a prepared speech to assembled world leaders at the UN. So consider the venue and the audience. Typical awfulness? In some ways. But at a time and circumstance that should not be simply dismissed.
