I am excited for the game. It's not perfect, but it's not all bad either. But a miscellaneous thing I would like to bring up is that Mouse Controls are a thing and NOT REQUIRED like Star Fox Zero's motion controls were. But the Switch 2 JoyCons have a new Mouse mode.

Having essentially VTuber filters for a webcam is hilarious, and I like it. Choosing different characters for a gaming session is a fun idea and Nintendo saying "Hey remember we have Gamechat?" And selecting different avatars is also a plus.

Battle Mode is definitely a highlight of the game, since the leaks said it was all out on the multiplayer. Choosing between Star Fox and Star Wolf and ONLINE LOBBIES is sick. The modes look just like payload and tower control modes I know from things like Splatoon in a way. I'm hoping for on-foot.

The different objectives in the levels are also amazing to give more replayability in the Challenge Mode. It calls back to different medal requirements from Star Fox Zero for me. The different difficulty settings having different missions as well is great for variety.

The story is yet another Star Fox 64 recycle, but I can move past that if the cutscenes add more story beats and enhance it. The graphics look gorgeous, and seeing that they are going for a cinematic story is what I've wanted for the franchise after Starlink.

My thoughts on the Star Fox Direct: The character designs aren't necessarily bad since they went for realistic designs. From the Zero designs, to the Galaxy Movie, to these designs, it's a jarring change and they could have done without the digitigrade legs and making the eyes a little bigger.

Bowser Live I get. But if they excluded Bowser in Koopathlon or Kaboom Squad because they think that people will get confused, Imposter Bowser is huge, glowing and has magic surrounding him, so there’s always something to differentiate. Playable Bowser has fought imposters before. Prime examples:

Ok but like… what’s the point of having Imposter Bowser in Mario Party Jamboree to replace the real Bowser for Bowser spaces so he can be playable… but not allow him to be playable in Bowser Kaboom Squad, or Koopathlon when Imposter Bowser is being used? (1/2)

He's incredibly susceptible to hypnosis/mc, the image I used at the start of the thread was one of the many times he did, based on Super Paper Mario. (Which fuelled sketches for my guy in a Paper Mario Style.) Other times it's either a collar, visor, or a pocket watch.
