Ollie continues his found art series: Really Big Stick

Ollie - an Australian Cattle Dog mix, walks away from the camera carrying a 7-foot long piece of driftwood. He's on the edge of the water at a rocky beach, with the Cleveland skyline far on the horizon.

Has the wink emoji literally ever _not_ been creepy? Like - IRL winks can be not creepy in the right circumstances. But something about 😉 just has a sense of....menace? malice? I'm not sure exactly what it is, but there are no words you can put near 😉 to make it be un-creepy.

Last time, I was tired. This time, I'm angry. Let's start by acknowledging that the kinds of people they're trying to erase have been and always will be integral to advances in programming and web development. dev.to/abbeyperini/...

Happy #BlackHistoryMonth ! Feb 22: Q: Relax! Racism is a boomer problem! As old people die off, the younger generation takes over! Young people are less racist! Right? A: No. People do not become more "conservative" as they get older. That's a lie. Read the whole linked thread.

Just realized this could mean "you did a dumb thing" or "it was dumb that you got in trouble" 😂 My answer for the latter would be I got busted for buying candy cigarettes in 4th grade on a field trip to the West Side Market in Cleveland 🚭

In second grade (so this would be like 1989ish) I brought my pocket knife to school to show my friends. It had a fork and spoon on it - it was really cool. I then proceeded to lose it on the playground during recess.

The Compressed podcast with Amy Dutton and @jamesqquick.bsky.social has become one of my favorite tech pods (other than the @virtualcoffee.io podcast obviously) Their recent no-guest Q&A was really great! I always worry those will end up being self indulgent or self referential but nope!
