New addition to the collection last night. I actually own a superb raw copy that I wanted to send in to CGC, but compared to the price I paid for this copy, it wasn't worth the expense of pressing & slabbing.

From the collection: One of my all-time favorite Iron Man covers. I don't own many issues of TOS, but this one was a must have. This cover just screams for an homage, maybe someday I'll get to it when I'm free of deadlines.

From the collection: Mr. Cage just being a good citizen & doing his part with a little urban renewal, taking down that brick wall. Hero for Hire officially changes it's title to Luke Cage, Power Man. Published in February 1974.

The hardcover collection of BATMAN/GREEN ARROW/THE QUESTION: ARCADIA is in shops tomorrow 9/23! I’d love to write and draw a follow up series so think about picking this up. The collection is beautifully produced and would look great on your shelf.

One of my favorite Bronze Age storylines. Certainly not Marvel's greatest or most popular character, but the run from issue 20-24 hits the nostalgia notes just right for me. And I'm not a big signature collector, I was after the grade. The signature was a nice bonus.

My little girl Pepper crossed the rainbow bridge last at 7:20pm. She was the last of the cats in our house, so it's down to one dog, now. Her mobility had delcined badly, and she had some other health issues in the mix as well. It was time and she went peacefully and humanely. 2011-2026

From the collection: Hands down, my favorite issue of Marvel Team Up. An amazing Jim Starlin cover with a cool story of the Hulk being duped into doing someone's dirty work for them. And poor Spidey is stuck in the middle. Add in a sad ending, and you've got one of my favorite Bronze Age books.

From the collection: Not so much of a team up, as the Hulk finding himself in the middle of a fight he doesn't want. The story of the big guy's life.... However, the anger of the green goliath gets directed at Blastaar, who doesn't do so well fighting someone as tough as ol' Hulk.

From the collection; A Gil Kane cover with interiors by Big John Buscema? That surely is astonishing. This was very early into John's return to comics, and one of the rare times he drew the Hulk. I'm in!

From the collection: In my opinion, one of the most underrated 70's books, ever. There wasn't a bad issue in the entire run, and Gene Colan was absolutely born to draw this book. And Tom Palmer was meant to ink Gene. This issue features the origin of Blade.

From the art-chives; Joliet Jake and Elwood, The Blues Brothers. Gouche on hot press paper, 13 x 19". Although this is certainly a niche painting, I've always gotten a great response to it at shows. Lots of folks who've bought one have all said " My dad/grandfather will love this " .

Tales to Astonish becomes The Incredible Hulk. For the first time since 1963, the Hulk has his own title. Even though the original run didn't last, it's fortunate that Marvel saw the potential in the character and continued to feature him leading up to the expansion of 1968.

One of my all-time favorite FF covers. I saw this in a comic shop around 1983-84. I didn't get that copy, but tracked down one soon enough. The interior story did not disappoint, what a battle. The team won by the skin of their teeth. I added this one back to the collection about a year ago.
