I don’t post here as much as I should. But to think 2 years ago I was just a random Xbox “content creator” and now I’m running a website that reviews Halo, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and more at embargo is surreal. So proud of my team and what we’ve build. Chase those creation dreams people!

No it’s just too hard to keep up with all the platforms and felt like a waste to start over. But when your 8k followers means nothing what’s the difference lol

110

Danno @dannoomen.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

Built an account with 8k followers on the other platform that garnered millions of monthly impressions only for them to effectively kill the algorithms and now posts struggle to get 300 impressions. Feeling a bit defeated I won’t lie.

Ya that’s more or less what I laid out here and what ive been saying for a couple years now. It’s clear they need to sell copies of games. Skip game pass for a year and get those sales then put it on the service

My thoughts on the major changes at #Xbox on Friday. I remain cautiously optimistic and willing to give Asha and the team the time to get their vision in place. gamersocialclub.ca/2026/02/22/x...

One of the crappy things about reviewing games early is not being able to talk about a game. What I can do is talk about what I just finished. Has anyone been playing Disciples: Domination? It didn’t have much hype but it’s a fun RPG! Just missed 3 achievements in it too.

010

Danno @dannoomen.bsky.social · 12/02/2026

My first review of 2026. I don’t play RPG’s much anymore as I don’t have the time for long games, but I’m glad I played Disciples: Domination. Definitely worth checking out imo.

Today’s look back is one of my favourite games and series, Ace Combat 7. I was late to the Ace Combat party but I’ve been hooked ever since. 7 was a fantastic game and I’m surprised it isn’t talked about more. Stoked 8 is out this year. Have you played this one? #Xbox

Today’s look back is the visually stunning adventure game Abzu. This is an easy one for achievement hunters and is a must play 3-4 hour experience. Nothing like exploring the ocean. Did you play this one? #Xbox

Been super busy the last couple days so missed these, but today’s look back is the co-op gem A Way Out. While this isn’t quite on the same tier as the last couple Hazelight games, it is still a fantastic game. Have you played this one? #Xbox

So on top of the Metacritic news (still on a high about that) this bad boy showed up today too! One of the cooler collector editions I’ve seen and the packaging is so good I almost wanna display that too. Well done Bungie & Marathon.

Never thought I’d say Gamer Social Club is on Metacritic but here we are!

This afternoon’s look back is imo one of the best games of last generation, A Plague Tale: Innocence. This game was gripping from beginning to end with an emotional story and good game play. Definitely a must play game. Have you played this one? #Xbox

Starting to go through my collection and highlight 2 games a day to talk about them! This mornings it is strategy game, 8-Bit Armies. Grabbed this during the height of my “collect just to collect” phase so I don’t actually know much about this one but it looks decent! Have you played this one?

030

Danno @dannoomen.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

As far as I can tell no. These guys worked on the old Diablo games and Torchlight series.

The last month or so I’ve felt pretty burnt out, specifically on the website. I’ve written nearly 850 articles in 20 months, not to mention the back end stuff, emails etc etc. Thankfully I’m feeling recharged and super motivated for us to kill it in 2026. Sometimes you just need to recharge.

Was hoping these were going to come before the end of the year but they are here now. A bit disappointed Like A Dragon wasn’t an actual statue but like the other pack ins. The Shin Megami steelbook is gorgeous though. #Xbox

Gonna try this #promosky out! Hey everyone my name is Dan, but most call me Danno. I am the owner of a gaming site @gamersocialclub.ca and an avid Xbox collector and achievement hunter. Let’s connect and talk games as it’s going to be a great year for all us gamers!

It’s 2026 so time for a yearly update on the Xbox collection. The Xbox One/Series collection is up to 433 games, a 27 game increase from a year ago, the same increase as last year oddly enough. Here’s to another year of showing some Xbox gamers do indeed buy games!

Danno @dannoomen.bsky.social · 31/12/2025

Got a bunch of GSC related goals for the New Year but also some personal ones and the big one is to use Bluesky more but there’s more. Complete 25+ 2026 titles Continue to grow the Xbox collection Attend one of the big gaming conventions (SGF, PAX) Think these are all obtainable

Right so because we also covered a game you did we must have stolen it? I’m sorry if your content has been stolen in the past if that’s true. But don’t go out accusing others when no evidence suggests they did. Here’s our guides posted hours before yours was ever done

000

Danno @dannoomen.bsky.social · 03/08/2025

Respectfully, the next time you want to accuse someone of theft maybe don’t steal their content and then claim they stole it. Our guides were written before the game even released and published well before yours.

Been waiting a long time for this to show up. The art and music in South Of Midnight is fantastic and I’m stoked that this is the newest piece to my collection. Only negative is they didn’t send me the signed copy (heard it wasn’t even signed anyway) Compulsion deserves a lot of love here

Happy Father’s Day to all the fellow Dads out there. Sucks that I’m working but is what it is. Before I left my kids gave me this cool Sea Of Thieves artbook. Haven’t added an artbook to the collection in awhile! It’s cool seeing the things Rare have added over the years

I feel this. I’m pretty sick of that other platform at times but it is difficult to start from scratch. Tried a few times and just felt pointless to do

He also hoped the cross play and Xbox players might get sales elsewhere. Getting a PlayStation buddy to buy it to play with you

Been finally getting around to the yard now that it’s nice out. I have a cardinal that comes to this bird bath all the time for a drink and incase it’s my friend that passed earlier this year I’ve planted some of her favourite flowers so she can enjoy them as she drinks ❤️

Been trying to get this story for awhile and finally got it. It won’t matter to most, but if you are a physical collector, especially on Xbox you will want to read it.

I didn’t do the review but have been playing some Revenge Of The Savage Planet already and it’s an absolute blast to play. Highly recommend based on what I’ve played

While May is finally a bit of a slower month for the AAA giants outside of Doom & Elden Ring, it’s a pretty stacked month for indies & AA. Hopefully a lot of people give these types of games a shot, they are usually hidden gems!
