I don’t post here as much as I should. But to think 2 years ago I was just a random Xbox “content creator” and now I’m running a website that reviews Halo, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and more at embargo is surreal. So proud of my team and what we’ve build. Chase those creation dreams people!

Built an account with 8k followers on the other platform that garnered millions of monthly impressions only for them to effectively kill the algorithms and now posts struggle to get 300 impressions. Feeling a bit defeated I won’t lie.

Xbox is about to knock this out of the park aren’t they.

One of the crappy things about reviewing games early is not being able to talk about a game. What I can do is talk about what I just finished. Has anyone been playing Disciples: Domination? It didn’t have much hype but it’s a fun RPG! Just missed 3 achievements in it too.

010

Danno @dannoomen.bsky.social · 12/02/2026

My first review of 2026. I don’t play RPG’s much anymore as I don’t have the time for long games, but I’m glad I played Disciples: Domination. Definitely worth checking out imo.

Today’s look back is one of my favourite games and series, Ace Combat 7. I was late to the Ace Combat party but I’ve been hooked ever since. 7 was a fantastic game and I’m surprised it isn’t talked about more. Stoked 8 is out this year. Have you played this one? #Xbox

Today’s look back is the visually stunning adventure game Abzu. This is an easy one for achievement hunters and is a must play 3-4 hour experience. Nothing like exploring the ocean. Did you play this one? #Xbox

Been super busy the last couple days so missed these, but today’s look back is the co-op gem A Way Out. While this isn’t quite on the same tier as the last couple Hazelight games, it is still a fantastic game. Have you played this one? #Xbox

So on top of the Metacritic news (still on a high about that) this bad boy showed up today too! One of the cooler collector editions I’ve seen and the packaging is so good I almost wanna display that too. Well done Bungie & Marathon.

This afternoon’s look back is imo one of the best games of last generation, A Plague Tale: Innocence. This game was gripping from beginning to end with an emotional story and good game play. Definitely a must play game. Have you played this one? #Xbox

Starting to go through my collection and highlight 2 games a day to talk about them! This mornings it is strategy game, 8-Bit Armies. Grabbed this during the height of my “collect just to collect” phase so I don’t actually know much about this one but it looks decent! Have you played this one?

The last month or so I’ve felt pretty burnt out, specifically on the website. I’ve written nearly 850 articles in 20 months, not to mention the back end stuff, emails etc etc. Thankfully I’m feeling recharged and super motivated for us to kill it in 2026. Sometimes you just need to recharge.

Was hoping these were going to come before the end of the year but they are here now. A bit disappointed Like A Dragon wasn’t an actual statue but like the other pack ins. The Shin Megami steelbook is gorgeous though. #Xbox

Gonna try this #promosky out! Hey everyone my name is Dan, but most call me Danno. I am the owner of a gaming site @gamersocialclub.ca and an avid Xbox collector and achievement hunter. Let’s connect and talk games as it’s going to be a great year for all us gamers!

It’s 2026 so time for a yearly update on the Xbox collection. The Xbox One/Series collection is up to 433 games, a 27 game increase from a year ago, the same increase as last year oddly enough. Here’s to another year of showing some Xbox gamers do indeed buy games!

Got a bunch of GSC related goals for the New Year but also some personal ones and the big one is to use Bluesky more but there’s more. Complete 25+ 2026 titles Continue to grow the Xbox collection Attend one of the big gaming conventions (SGF, PAX) Think these are all obtainable

Been waiting a long time for this to show up. The art and music in South Of Midnight is fantastic and I’m stoked that this is the newest piece to my collection. Only negative is they didn’t send me the signed copy (heard it wasn’t even signed anyway) Compulsion deserves a lot of love here

Happy Father’s Day to all the fellow Dads out there. Sucks that I’m working but is what it is. Before I left my kids gave me this cool Sea Of Thieves artbook. Haven’t added an artbook to the collection in awhile! It’s cool seeing the things Rare have added over the years

Been finally getting around to the yard now that it’s nice out. I have a cardinal that comes to this bird bath all the time for a drink and incase it’s my friend that passed earlier this year I’ve planted some of her favourite flowers so she can enjoy them as she drinks ❤️

Danno @dannoomen.bsky.social · 06/05/2025

Been trying to get this story for awhile and finally got it. It won’t matter to most, but if you are a physical collector, especially on Xbox you will want to read it.

140

Danno @dannoomen.bsky.social · 05/05/2025

I didn’t do the review but have been playing some Revenge Of The Savage Planet already and it’s an absolute blast to play. Highly recommend based on what I’ve played

While May is finally a bit of a slower month for the AAA giants outside of Doom & Elden Ring, it’s a pretty stacked month for indies & AA. Hopefully a lot of people give these types of games a shot, they are usually hidden gems!

040

Danno @dannoomen.bsky.social · 03/05/2025

What’s everyone playing this weekend? I’m working unfortunately but my focus will be on Doom: The Dark Ages. Also got a fair bit of content coming for another game next week that I can’t talk about.

100

Danno @dannoomen.bsky.social · 02/05/2025

So the reason I have to pause my Clair Obscur playthrough? I’ll be reviewing Doom: The Dark Ages for @gamersocialclub.ca Embargo is up May 9th at 10am EST. See you then slayers!

Looking for some genuine input here from you all, especially if you are an achievement or trophy hunter. What do we think of this format for this type of content? Is it missing anything you’d want? Let us know please!

Danno @dannoomen.bsky.social · 27/04/2025

Getting some nice weather so been busy getting the outside ready. Added the gazebo and rug this year. But all I can think about is getting back to Clair Obscur tonight

030

Danno @dannoomen.bsky.social · 27/04/2025

Well I was gonna wait a bit before grabbing a copy since I have so much coming but Clair Obscur is too good to not give some extra support. #Xbox

I don’t use this platform as much as I like, it’s hard starting from scratch. But I do still pop in here to see what you all are up to that have made the switch.

@iocat.bsky.social hey Chris, can you reach out via DM or email to help me with a query regarding Xbox’s supposed minimum print requirements? Been trying to get to the bottom of this for awhile now with many companies saying they can’t print on Xbox due to high minimum requirements. Thanks!

Think this is the favourite shot I took from South Of Midnight. Game should be in the conversation for best art direction come end of the year. #Xbox

My South Of Midnight review is up. Game is fantastic other than its repetitive combat. Definitely worth a play! #Xbox

What’s everyone playing this weekend? Here in Ontario we’re experiencing a significant ice storm. So far we’ve avoided it but we’re hunkered down, just hope the power stays on. If it does I’ll be working on my South Of Midnight coverage. What about you? #Xbox

240

Danno @dannoomen.bsky.social · 28/03/2025

My weekend is finally here which means…. I’ll be playing South Of Midnight for our review at Gamer Social Club. Review as well as some other content will be up April 3rd at 12pm EST. Thanks to @xbox.com & @compulsiongames.bsky.social for the early access. And yes I’m playing on #Xbox

Really sick of that other platform lately. Just wanna talk the love of games not all the toxic nonsense. Sucks that’s where my following is, feels like I’m stuck there because of it. Anyway I’m playing Assassins Creed Shadows and loving it.

What’s everyone playing this weekend? It’s more Split Fiction and Monster Hunter Wilds for me. Got my son’s bday party tomorrow as well with family coming down so busy weekend!

Started Split Fiction lastnight. If the rest of the game keeps this up I don’t know how anything else tops it for GOTY. Simply incredible stuff so far. #Xbox
