He’s basically maxed out what the YT algorithm will pay and has spent the last few years chasing the bucks through weird merch deals and Amazon Prime tv partnerships.

Thanks (?) to my two teenagers, I’ve been aware of this guy‘s antics on YouTube since early covid days. If anything, a good number of kids these days view him as old, corporate and having jumped the shark 2+ years ago.

I know everyone’s gonna talk about how this affects pipelines and national unity. As an Indigenous man, I’m much more concerned about violence being visited upon family and friends as a result of this alarmist rhetoric.

Our entire economy is being artificially propped up by astrology for men: AI, crypto, sports betting, and prediction markets. It's an economy shaped entirely by male insecurity and lack of impulse control, and we'll all pay the price.

Here’s the thing. My family is paying thousands per year in essential mental health+autism support services not covered by medicare or my employer coverage. Not only is the answer to your question $0, we’re still waiting months and driving long hours to get care. The private market isn’t better.

It Can Now Be Plainly Said: Trump Is Planning a November Coup d’État
During the campaign, it was kind of hard to picture the specifics of how Trump might pull such a thing off. Alas, it’s getting less hypothetical by the week.

I think the coaches need to take a bit more heat on the 3-on-3. The players (including. McDavid) needed a hard message to slow down and ensure puck control.

Thanks for the response. My use of the word “material” was only in reference to the magnitude of the revision, which has been described by others as significant enough to impact debates on other issues, such as Canadian productivity for example. Wondering if we’ll see that on fiscal as well.

The Bank of Canada took note of these revisions in their latest report, but did not comment on fiscal policy implications, which is to be expected I guess. Am I right in reading those revisions as material to Canada‘s fiscal position and/or targets? And if so who may be looking at that (non-govt)?

Hello @kevinmilligan.bsky.social I have a question about the upward GDP growth revisions published by Statcan late last year after the federal budget was announced. The revisions seem to the layperson to have material implications for federal fiscal policy targets (deficit-to-GDP, defense spend).1/2

There is very little evidence in the past 30 years that provincial govts of any stripe have been willing to put their money on the line to strengthen essential services. Harper transferred what, $900 million to Quebec to address the “fiscal imbalance,” and Charest paid it all out as a tax cut.

Big partisan accounts tend to attract that stuff, so I hope the T/C’s of this app are robust enough to keep things sane.
