Stupid question: Why are so many of the longest-running No. 1 songs modern, when we have pretty much lost any other semblance of monoculture? Is it just the studios milking the numbers in some way to boost their chosen song? ew.com/ella-langley...

The longest-running No. 1 songs ever are Choosin' Texas, All I Want for Christmas Is You, Bar Song, Old Town Road and Last Night. All but the Mariah Carey song are 2019 or newer.

So in that one season Doctor Odyssey got, 59-year-old Shania Twain got pregnant by Don Johnson, and Phillipa Soo got pregnant in a threesome with Joshua Jackson and Sean Teale. Only Shania miscarried and Phillips’s was a false positive. That show should have run for a decade, man.

As a kid, we had a bee hive by our back door that my parents could NOT get rid of, and I got stung annoyingly often. We moved away from that house in fifth grade, and I don't think I've been stung/bitten/attacked by a bug since. My wife gets mad at me for how much bugs ignore me.

In the last 2 days I've gotten 2 emails from 2 different "publishers" inquiring about my novel. It's a scam -- the publishers are real, but the emails are fake and the names are *barely* misspelled -- but the funniest thing is they're inquiring about a book that isn't even mine.

In the 1920s, the rules for baseball's MVP were that previous winners were ineligible. Win one MVP and that's it. I want someone to go back through baseball history and re-decide every MVP Award as though that rule had stayed in place. It'd be fun.
