iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Back in March, I posted about changing my banner to a photo of Mississauga’s skyline I’d found online. Now I get to replace it with my own render of how downtown could grow. Pretty proud to have something I made representing the city I live in.

A subway to Square One? I emailed City staff for the old studies and put the maps, history and three 3D route sketches on one page so others don’t have to. Independent visualisations, not approved routes. futuremississauga.com/subway.html

Independent 3D visualisation of a possible subway from Kipling to Mississauga City Centre via Sherway and Dundas. A purple dashed route crosses the city model, with GO and Hurontario LRT corridors shown for context. Illustrative sketch, not an approved alignment.

Independent 3D visualisation of a direct Dundas alternative from Kipling toward Cooksville, with an author-drawn continuation to Mississauga City Centre. The purple dashed line is an exploratory sketch, not an approved route. GO and Hurontario LRT corridors provide transit context.

Purple dashed line marks the illustrative route, with GO and Hurontario LRT context. This geographic comparison does not assume shared GO tracks or available railway land.

futuremississauga.com I made a website where you can explore a 3D model of what Mississauga could look like in the future. I’ve been following the city’s development and transit projects for a while, and wanted to see how all those individual proposals would look together.

I taught myself Blender and spent the last 6 months modelling what Mississauga is going to look like. Towers, transit, the whole downtown. It’s live and you can click around it: futuremississauga.ca 🧵

I wanted to build a game. Not an app. A physical, screen-free brain game that trains your memory. Most brain games are just apps that add more screen time. I wanted the opposite. So I made Synapse. 🧵

Toronto Built a Subway That Goes Nowhere. So, I combined two concepts that would change that. 🧵

The ION LRT collision video’s been shared by u/bob_mcbob. Truck tried pulling an illegal U-turn right in front of the LRT at King & Agnes, where U-turns are explicitly banned. Driver got charged with careless driving, luckily, although he near definitely won’t be billed for repair costs.

If you’re trying to figure out where you stand on the socialism vs. capitalism debate, here’s how I think about it. I think around two thirds to three quarters of an economy should be market-driven, ideally closer to three quarters.

Markets create wealth better than governments do.

I’ll start to post longer-form thoughts on here. I want to hear from people with different backgrounds and viewpoints on economic, political, and social topics. Staying only one platform could accidentally form an echo chamber. If you come across my profile on those platforms, that’s me.

Gave the profile a proper refresh: • Banner now reps the Mississauga skyline • Website works as a full link hub • Bio actually reflects where things are at now

I found Flow surprisingly useful for dictating on squares.io. I’d dictate "Word that starts with GRE that means colorfully jealous," and Wispr Flow would paste text "GreenWithEnvy." Pretty cool!

Petition for a Raycast extension similar to YouTube. Imagine pressing Cmd+Space and typing: - "YT" or "YouTube" to open the site instantly - "GC" or "Classroom" for Google Classroom This could be a simple extension, with easily accessible icons online.

Just tried PostBridge by Jack Fricks—and early impressions are that it’s a game-changer for cross-posting! The interface is a breeze, and the content tools are awesome. Can’t wait to share my full review soon! #notsponsored

A friend suggested I create “AI Shoes.” Imagine shoes that: - Adapt to your movement style in real-time - Adjust cushioning for max comfort - Track health stats like steps, balance, and impact - Sync with your phone for personalized tips Wondering how realistic this could be…

Apparently, as a Canadian 🇨🇦 I can get free copies of: - The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms - An official portrait of King Charles III - A photograph of the Prime Minister If I call 1-800-O-Canada or visit canada.ca📜 I'll call them and see how it goes

You know what would be cool? 🤔 A GPT-4o web extension that: - Answers clickbait titles fast - Summarizes videos in real-time - Answer's video's questions - Suggests comments based on reactions Plus, it could make flashcards & temporary web pages. Should I build it?

I sometimes scroll through Quora, and wow… the posts are wild. Blatantly false, clearly crafted just to stir people up. Makes me wonder: are users doing this, or is Quora fueling (or at least allowing) the chaos for engagement? Anyone else notice this?

Genuinely curious... 🤔 Why does tipping culture exist in Canada? Workers are paid $17/hour – the same minimum wage as non-restaurant employees. So why is tipping such a big deal? In the US, wages can be lower and tips make up the difference, but here, it doesn’t add up.

You know what would be nice? 🤔 If we had a game website that’s accessible through a web browser… Let’s creators earn money 💰 And is purely funded through non-intrusive ads. Sort of like YouTube and Steam mixed together. Should I build it?
