Apparently there's an olive oil cake competition at my friends place, so I'm dropping one off tomorrow. Turned out good. Going to have to try and find a frosting for it at some point, buttercream doesn't seem the best even if I'd prefer it.

Olive oil cake, reasonably well baked. It has a small slit where the doneness of the bake was tested.

Tried the ATK lemon layer cake with some caramel buttercream frosting. Seems to work, tasted good. Forgot to get a picture of the unfrosted cakes. It was edible, so I'm happy.

Both layers of the cake as they began baking next to each other in the oven.

Finshed frosted layer cake. The frosting is a little messy, but not terrible.

Tarte Tropezienne. I think it's supposed to be like a giant brioche oreo. I need to work on the brioche, but it tasted ok.

Some brioche bread with pearl sugar on the top, buttercream frosting in the middle where the bread has been cut in half.

Better this week. The lemon ones need more lemon flavor, and i really need to be more patient with the initial drying but otherwise edible.

Lemon buttercream macarons. Needed to dry longer before baking.

Coffee macarons with chocolate ganache. Needed a bit more time drying but otherwise quite good.
