Unsafe release confirmed... but no sporting penalty for Lewis Hamilton who keeps P4. Partially suspended fine for Ferrari. Don't really understand this, as penalty guidelines made it pretty clear a sporting punishment was required.

Stewards' reasons are in for Lewis Hamilton's penalty. They deemed him to be "wholly at fault" for causing the collision with George Russell, but dropped the punishment from 10 seconds to five because of "several mitigating circumstances".

Lewis Hamilton's unsafe release being investigated after the race. Have had a look in the penalty guidelines for stewards and the only punishments they can give are sporting ones. Five, 10 secs or drive-through. Seems pretty slam dunk, given it's hard to defend your mechanic being run over.

Been down to have a look at the LEGO minicars to be used in Sunday’s Silverstone drivers’ parade. Favourite detail without a doubt is that they’ve added bumpers onto the front and sides knowing that they’re going to be crashing into each other again! 😂

And to be absolutely clear: This does not open the floodgates for other penalties in that race to be amended. Gasly's time penalty was subject to change because it was unserved by the end of the GP and because Alpine requested its RoR in time. The stewards have made it clear this is the only change.

The stewards did. They said in the document confirming the Right of Review had been allowed that the matter was raised with FOM during the race after the third penalty and that they were told that everything was fine… for some reason!

Cadillac have lost the first ever point they thought they had won. 10-second post-race penalty for Sergio Perez for being outside of his grid box at the restart. Means Fernando Alonso and Aston Martin get their first point of the year instead.
