I made a companion app for Old School RuneScape 🤓. This was originally just a way for me to track progress through the Optimal Quest Guide but kept growing as I kept finding fun things I could do with it. It got approved today! 🎉

Almost a year to the date of my last *new* app release, SingTheSong is now out on visionOS! I'm still building apps for visionOS because it's FUN. This one listens to the music playing in your environment and displays real-time lyrics. Made this one for my fellow vinyl enthusiasts.

Spent today playing around with liquid glass. Spent a lot of time tweaking colors, animations, spacing, and playing with the new glass effects. Also finally got that image scaling to work!

The App Intents update to ShinyDex just got approved. For this update I also worked with a local designer to get a new icon made for it!

Shortcuts and Siri integration has been shipped and is waiting for approval from the App Store review team. I was sitting on this one for a while. There's some more shortcuts I wanted to add but I felt like the ones I had working were good enough to release.

I had to completely rebuild CodeDump but the new version is up in the store and ready to go. I fixed some bugs I found in the previous version and added some much needed functionality like being able to select all files in a directory in the tree view with one click!

Supposed to be working on deep links but I've spent two hours trying to get the image to stretch when the user scrolls down. I'm close but now it stutters inside of the ScrollView. I'll get there at some point but for now I'm gonna go back to trying to figure out deep links. That's more important.

These are my app's windows. They all have a button to close/dismiss. Does every window need to have the close/return button in the title bar specifically?

The icon for Vinyl Vision was the last of the Gen AI art in my portfolio. I spent a lot of time looking for a designer to make a new one for me and Cameron (cameronmcefee.com) reached out. LOOK AT HOW GOOD THIS IS. I don't think he's taking clients right now, but the iOS community is one of a kind.

The search function as been much more difficult to implement than I imagined it would be. There's a lot of different types of data to handle but progress IS being made so bear with me there. A lot of API wonkiness to work through that seems like it may be out of my control. But we move!

Sent out an update for Vinyl Vision (approval pending)! With tons of help from the 🐐 @hulet.tech, this project can now pre-fetch images which vastly improves album art downloads. Also slightly redesigned the release view to be horizontal. Still working on the ability to search the massive database.

ShinyDex got visionOS support recently and I (mostly) have CloudKit working properly. Next update I need to work on fetching from CloudKit as soon as the app opens.

Legal Terms: Law Dictionary needed some work with SwiftData/CloudKit as well. I opened the app yesterday to show it to somebody and none of the data was there 💀. No clue how long it was sitting like that but it's fixed now. Update already got approved.

Did a lot of work polishing some of the rougher edges of Cannoisseur. Things like the photo on top of the detail page being janky, the batch info feature was pretty terrible, SwiftData/CloudKit was pretty much broken, etc. It's in a much more polished state now and I just submitted to review.

A friend gave me a very silly app idea so I've been putting together a rough prototype of the idea using ShazamKit. It feels very good to have tried something new and got it working! Much needed praise break happening in this household.

Just shipped native visionOS support for ShinyDex. I have plans for this app this year that I'm excited about. It was fun to get back into the visionOS simulator! I hope to spend more time this year learning for the platform.

In 2024 I got 631 app downloads across 10 apps. I know that's not a super high number, but I'm really proud to be able to say that. In 2025, I'm aiming for 1000. No clue how I'm going to get there, but I'm going to get there.

l earned an internship this past summer which turned into an extension and then a full-time job offer contingent on my graduation. I'm working my butt off to graduate on time, learn Java/ Spring for my new role, publish my last app to reach my goal, and raise a gorgeous well behaved puppy.
