Unfortunately, Malta’s airport Wi-Fi doesn’t seem to be on my side, so you might need to wait another day for @beavernotes.com 5

Let me introduce the new lead developer of @beavernotes.com.
An Australian shepherd lying down across the threshold of a doorway, with its head resting on the floor and its body stretched onto a balcony. Behind the dog are a railing, greenery, and part of a building.

Here’s a little sneak peek at what I’ve been doing the past week for @beavernotes.com. A complete overhaul is coming later this month in beta. #buildinpublic #dev #ui
A screenshot of a digital drawing interface set against a dark background with a white grid of dots. The word "hi" is written in cursive using a blue digital pen on the left side of the canvas. To the right of the word, there is a textured, multicolored rainbow scribble. An overlay toolbar sits at the bottom, showcasing different drawing instruments (marker, colored pencil, fountain pen, highlighter, eraser), brush thickness options, a color palette, and canvas grid style selectors

Working on designing the blog cover for @beavernotes.com’s June issue.
A digital black-and-white outline sketch on a tablet screen, featuring a cute, cartoonish beaver character scuba diving underwater. The beaver is drawn with simple lines, wearing a diving mask, a mouthpiece regulator, and an air tank strapped to its back. The background shows an underwater scene with corals, plants, and a small striped fish.

I’m not sure what’s happening at Flathub, but this is absurd. I support implementing quality controls to ensure software quality, but a blanket ban on all AI-generated code will only hinder Flathub.

Here’s a little sneak leak of what i’ve been working on for @beavernotes.com ’s mobile ui. I’m gonna commit it on Github first thing tomorrow #BuildInPublic #opensource
A marketing graphic showing three side-by-side smartphone mockups displaying Beaver Notes, a dark-themed mobile note-taking application.
 * **Left phone:** Displays the main "Notes" dashboard with a search bar, a bookmarked note titled "Rain on me" containing lyrics, and a section for "All" notes at the bottom.
 * **Middle phone:** Shows an open note titled "Rain on me" partially obscured by a slide-up "Search blocks" menu containing formatting options like Paragraph, Headings (H1–H6), Blockquote, Code block, Table, Lists, and Math block.
 * **Right phone:** Shows the full view of the opened note containing the lyrics to the song "Rain on me" by Lady Gaga, with a rich text editing toolbar active at the bottom.

Had 10 seconds to myself, so of course I redesigned the now playing section on my website. Now if you head to daniele-rolli.com on your computer, you’ll see a spinning cd with lyrics scattered around. On phones, I had to go for a more subtle widget 😭
A screenshot of a dark-themed personal portfolio website for Daniele Rolli, a software developer and OSS maintainer. The homepage features a pixelated headline, a short bio, and a spinning vinyl record widget playing a Lady Gaga song. The bottom section uses a bento-grid layout containing widgets for Rome and local time, colored navigation folders, a photo of a dog named Roy, a blog post preview, a globe graphic, and social media icons

I’ve been working on Orbit to improve its user interface and make it work with more devices. Right now, it’s mainly for Colmi rings, but I’ll tweak it before it hits the App Store. Also trying out opt-in on device Apple Intelligence for health tips and data interpretation.
Screenshot of the Orbit app's "Sleep" screen from June 1, 2026. It shows a sleep score of 67 (labeled "Good"), a recorded sleep duration of 6 hours and 43 minutes (from 12:38 AM to 8:00 AM), and a notification flagging an "Irregular Sleep Schedule."Screenshot of the Orbit app's main "Summary" dashboard. It displays a "COLMI Ring" status as disconnected, followed by brief health data widgets showing low activity (2,215 steps), a sleep duration of 6 hours and 43 minutes, and a heart rate of 83 BPM.

It was about time I started upgrading @beavernotes.com's UI. What do y’all think?
A dark-themed digital dashboard featuring two rows: Folders and Bookmarked. The top row contains three vibrant, rounded folder icons in purple (Coding), yellow (Italian), and red (Physics). The bottom row displays four categorized cards with preview text and colorful tags for German, English Literature, Science, and Philosophy, each showing a "month ago" timestamp.

Been workin on a side project that pulls health data from Colmi Rings inspired by huggingface.co/blog/cyrilza.... It's called Orbit cuz why not. Haven't done much testing, ordered the wrong ring size, but a proper one’s on the way. Code's on github.com/Daniele-roll.... TestFlight beta coming soon.
A screenshot of the Xcode IDE showing Swift code for a "HeartRateWidget" in an app called Orbit. On the right, an iPhone simulator displays a "Summary" screen with health cards for Heart Rate, Blood Oxygen, Sleep, and Activity. The Heart Rate card shows "-- BPM," and the Activity card features a circular progress ring.A screenshot of Xcode featuring the same Swift source code, but the iPhone simulator now displays a detailed "Activity" view. The UI includes a large activity ring graphic, metrics for steps, calories, and distance with colorful progress bars (green, red, and blue), and a bottom grid showing "Avg Steps," "Best Day," and "Streak" statistics.

Wasn’t sure about Liquid Glass at first, but I love it, performance sucks tho because it’s a developer beta. I installed it on my main device, btw. 10/10 would not recommend.

Been tinkering with the drawing component for @beavernotes.com for a while, it’s almost done! P.S. My drawing skills gave up on me a long time ago.
A couple of doodles drawn in Beaver Pocket featuring the phrase 'The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog' and various white sketches, including a sun, cat, fish, cactus, crown, heart, star, cloud, trees, and mountains.

Just discovered Icon Composer. Threw Beaver’s icon in there, I kinda dig it, tbh. #beavernotes
