I have also just uncovered a photo from 2008? Possibly Islington Academy? Trademark emo hair and striped shirt. Maybe 3 months before my body was shut down. Not many photos exist anymore (thank god) but for a very brief moment there was a very slim chance someone thought I was slightly cool.

Emo me. Pre beard and about 8 stone lighter.

My trusty Les Paul playing probably a terrible pop punk song. (Definitely).

On stage at either Islington Academy or maybe Water Rats? I remember that red curtain almost killed us when it came down later too early.

This is the best description of grief/depression/trauma I've ever seen and it's helped me understand a lot of things over the years in case anyone is stuck in that funk. The ball gets smaller eventually. You got this.

The ball in the box, there's a button in the box that triggers grief. At first the ball is almost the same size of the box, you cant move without it hitting the button . Over time, the ball shrinks, making the button hits less often, but it hurts the same when it does.

I'm about to give my 7 year old nephew his first ever guitar lesson. They do lessons at school and did a beginner thing to let them get used to playing open notes. The instruction my sister said was "can you find a song mostly open notes?" Done. I see no problems. (Expand photo for song title).

I'm going to attempt to read though every issue of Amazing Spider-Man. I own 99% of them but normally start around late 80s/early 90s. Mostly due to the overflow of text in 60s stuff but also because of absolutely devastating insults like this that I can't believe got past the censors. #Spiderman
