I can imagine it would’ve. I’ve got no real idea of what’s out there for that market, my experience is with sets & props rather than anything wearable. However I’ve worked with enough puppeteers & costumers to have a fairly good idea of how things need to be designed for the body.

Oh I still end up making stuff a fair amount of the time too. Often the existing product doesn’t quite match our needs/specifications & it’s generally easier for me to make it from scratch rather than modify something we’ve bought.

So glad you like them. Their first album is good, but it’s not as strong as this one while their third is awesome but much more metal than punk. unfortunately no longer together but I’m hoping to catch the vocalist Karina Utomo when her black metal band launches its new album later in the month.

Could you perhaps add bands of thick wire with connecting lengths of the same? Basically what it looks like you’ve already done with foam but it may give you a more rigid armature connecting the inner & outer components. Something like this…

The same photo of the headpiece but I’ve crudely circled the interior sections of the headrest in red to illustrate the bands I was suggesting, with red lines nominally indicating where you could span between them with more wire.

I’ll bet, as a kid there was plenty of country trips where we’d come across old steam tractors or trains either in parks or sometimes just rusting away in paddocks, but we never came across anything like that.
