iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I went back to playing the original Oblivion instead of the Remaster. The Remaster is a travesty. The only good thing about it is the combat is smoother, but everything else falls apart while cooking your GPU.

I'm tired of putting on a mask.

I get that falling ill while traveling can be unavoidable, but the least you can do is wear a mask so you aren't coughing and sputtering on everyone around you during a three hour flight.

Home sick already. I think my social battery is just very small now.

WoW Forever is the World of Warcraft Blizzard couldn't give us in 2004, and tried (with hits and misses) to give us with expansions for two decades. Retail remains my favorite version of the game, but I cannot deny this reboot will send unprecedented shockwaves.

Instead of focusing on people who left your life, focus on those who chose to stay. Rejection sucks, but never take those who stayed for granted.

I could no longer resist the song of the siren. Tim Apple called my name...

After years of overthinking this, I finally did it. I'm kind of blown away by the performance of this machine. My code compiles blazingly fast, and I've never played WoW with this much FPS. Wouldn't be surprised if it lasts me 8 years!

This is yet another example of why I always tell folks: if you remember a game or any entertainment product looking better, you're not misremembering. Technology has changed and these were not made with modern displays or transfer mediums in mind.

A drawing of an anthropomorphic possum in a very detailed druid outfit from WoW! There are two spirit elements swirling around him.

People who are negative for the sake of being negative are genuinely the most boring kinds of people on the planet. It is a social signal I've stopped caring for.

Most people (even restaurants) overcook chicken. Understandable given the higher risk of foodborne illness, but if chicken has an internal temp of 165F it is safe to eat. It doesn't need to be dry or ashen.

Claude's preference for UK English, as much as I personally agree with it, has become another way for me to identify if a passage has been AI generated especially if it claims to be from a US source.

When an engineer entrenches themselves in strong opinions about how software "should" be built or what systems are good or bad, it tells me a lot about where they are in their journey.

There is no evidence that raw meat is better for dogs and in fact they are much more at risk to contract foodborne illnesses from them. This should be obvious, so I genuinely don't get this recurring raw meat diet social media trend.

When someone gossips to you, you can be certain they're gossiping about you to others as well. So the question lies with you as to whether you want to be part of that cycle.

It's going to feel very good to pay down my car. It was the dumbest financial decision I made in my entire life, my old car was perfectly fine. But it'll all be over soon.
