I think the weirdest form of fatphobia I keep bumping into is writers suddenly becoming deeply concerned with physical realism when a fat character is involved even in contexts where everybody's physical capabilities are explicitly bullshit. (1/2)

The Pauper gives the Prince an offer he can't refuse.

Pearl leans down and holds Perley's chin in their hand, a knife held behind their back as they assess Perley with squinted eyes. Perley is kneeling on the ground looking defeated and anxious. Ant stands behind Perley, anxiously stanced as it places its hands on Perley's back, as if to push Perley towards Pearl.
