(2/2) So I went to www.registertovote.ca.gov , checked & was “Inactive.” I was able to fix it there so I could get my voting materials & perm vote by mail ballot. BUT it must be done more than 15 days before the election, SO check yours online too!!

(1/2) Hey Cal voters! I got a postcard from my county reminding me to update my voting status since they “received notice my address had changed.” When I did, despite being at the same address for over 25 years, & voting in every state & Fed election at this address, my status was inactive.

I recently noted with delight that my Whole Foods was stocking cans of soda water with mulled apple cider flavor. It was…not good. The cinnamon flavoring was very bitter and harsh. I added some Stevia drops to it, which made it barely drinkable but not something I would recommend.

Being unable to draw much more than stick figures and trees that start out as Vs on the page, I got creative as a kid by putting together homage collages, often combining them with poem or song lyrics. I still have some of them in a trunk.

The Encyclopedia Brown Mysteries tho they would have to be massively updated (from the 1960s and I don’t remember any girls in the plot). The same would apply to The Wonderful Flight to the Mushroom planet series by Eleanor Cameron. But I would support a streaming channel to watch.

Chasing the mist last weekend on the South Downs, the start of a nice run of misty mornings in Sussex. Friday: Ashcombe Mill at dawn, holding the middle ground between Mount Caburn and Firle Beacon. Saturday: The Cuckmere Valley area, as the sun broke through and mist lingered over the fields.

I lived in Orange County from 6th grade, and went home from college to there thru 1979. I *think* I remembering newscasts on radio and tv giving their watchers on-air reminders of when they were expected to occur so people could go the beach to see them.
