In Konat 1.239, in a gap left empty on the top of second column on fol. 6r, there is a transfer-sticker representing a mounted knight in full armour holding a jousting lance.

Strange paragraphs to write: "In JRL Syr. 10, in the left margin of fol. 304r, aligned to the top of the column, there is a transfer-sticker representing an anthropomorphic green frog dressed as a medieval soldier with breastplate, sword, and chainmail head protection, topped by a feathered hat. 1/

Congrats to Marianna Cerno for publishing a new ps. Clementine text she identified recently, for which she suggests a date of composition in the fourth century! Basically, new apocryphon just dropped. You can find a discussion of her book here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmQe...

There are couple of layers in here, including a digital one on top. Is that a bird in the middle, of the lower script? Or more like a crown?
Detail from the manuscript Vat.gr. 1853 which is a palimpsest, with a crown like drawing around a letter in the lower script.

Ignatius of Antioch, as on a stool? It's the beginning of his Martyrdom. If Ignatius, it'd be an 'historiated' ε; if not, an 'anthropomorphic' – definitely 'inhabited' – initial. 'Gymnastic' only at a stretch. Vat. gr. 866, f. 195r. digi.vatlib.it/view/MSS_Vat.gr.866
