Right now I'm uploading the tracks for Take Flight after working on this project with Jude, Kat, and Dalan for close to a full year. There are many fiddly bits to manage but all will be well in another 60 minutes. It's wonderful and surreal and exciting and emotional. I am drinking a little.

No surprise, they know decades about my purchasing habits. I don't recall exactly, but I changed the coin door locks to RV-style cabinet closures and probably offered my use case in a public review to let other arcade nerds know it worked. Can't be upset at seeing info I volunteer. 🤷

Two Halloweens ago we gave out Pokemon cards. Next day, neighbor kid asked for more. He came back *this March* asking for more cards. He just came to the door asking again. The day we moved in, he'd already stolen our Amazon packages. Dad apologized for the "mistake." Kid. You're greedy. No.

My MiSTer SD card went south today, not fully corrupted but flaky at best. Flashing a new one and copying over the files was so trivial that I’m back up and running, maybe took an hour at most. I like the future.

Our kitten fostering is coming along well and these three are going to be permanent residents after the end of this week. Moxie is the calico, Cordelia is the tabby, and Willow is the lynxpoint. They are all incredibly sweet and already want naps on laps.

I'm not listed in the credits for Rocksmith 2014 because I joined the team a few months after launch -- but I was there for seven years, including the Remastered update. So I should be in those credits, right? I went looking and found Google's AI had hallucinated multiple times about my career. 🤷

Recently saw someone using model paint on their Sabacc dice to make the pips pop. There was concern about using a clear coat and having it chip off over time. I suggested gilding wax like rub & buff, then took my own advice. These are now very easy to read.

SiN offered advanced design for the post-Quake-II era & gave the player a lot of credit to think while shooting. I remember Activision showing it off when I was PC editor at GamePro. @nightdivestudios.bsky.social just released the Reloaded edition. It's handled with great care & a blast to revisit!

I know it's based on ASM 537, but the MCU version of "No, you move" is indelibly burned into my brain. Every so often I find myself in a situation where it's the wisdom I need. You can only be so accommodating; when your line is crossed, you have to articulate what and why, then stand your ground.
