yet on the safety front, it's an entirely different beast to navigate an 80,000# tractor/trailer than a car. Our driver pool is 2/3 daytime, delivery and pickup drivers, and 1/3 linehaul. I don't see AV's replacing the P&D drivers, there's just too much human interaction required.

it's boring, it's nighttime and that's why we pay so well, still don't have enough drivers, and it's not just us. the whole industry is short drivers. But that's the first place I think you'll see autonomous commercial vehicles, these nighttime, interstate only runs. clearly no mfgs are there

i'm a manager at an LTL trucking company and I'm waiting to see how AV enters into the commercial vehicle market. First, we can't hire enough driver to run night over the road drivers. we pay around $100k a year but it means you run MSP to Des Moines or Madison or Fargo and come back, every night.

that makes sense I guess? I'm gonna have to do a bit more research in the Maplewood City council election this year, I've known Marylee Abrams since her kid and my kid were in Cub Scouts together about 25 years ago...

slightly past first tier and probably on the wrong side of town, but there's a car wash on 96 and Hodgson Rd in Shoreview that does full service, was about $40 a couple of months ago. don't recall the name at the moment, it's in front of the Kowalski's.

We took Sawbill to Honeymoon Trail and then down to Lutsen. Skip work tomorrow and drive up, and hope the rain holds off.

Now that we're back in our hotel in Duluth and have charged up my phone a bit, whomever of y'all that said to head to the west side of the Tofte/Lutsen mountains for fall colors was absolutely correct. Leaf colors were amazing.
We have red and orange leaf colors popping in the foreground, and in the hills in the background, a wave of fall colors. The back of a road sign is a bit distracting from the red and orange hillside behind the road A dirt road with a vibrant canopy of fall

Two already cooked rotisserie chickens from Sam's Club, $9.96. Two whole raw chickens from the same Sam's Club, that I am rotissing myself? $28.04. follow me for more financial advice.
Here's two chickens that I seasoned and put on a rotisserie skewer to cook for dinner. On my recteq xfire and a motorized rotisserie.

when I rusted hole in the bottom of my beloved offset charcoal grill/smoker this spring, I replaced it with a Recteq combo pellet grill, does both smoking and grilling and does both extremely well. Spendy, but honestly my grilling is better than the charcoal was. highly recommend it. (xfire 825)
