Social norms are everywhere. There are so many parts of society that work only because people follow social norms. But also, things that *are* regulated are mainly enforced through social norms. Because it is hard to regulate everything all the time, but laws can help reinforce social norms

@stfn we have a peltier fan, it has certainly improved the heat distribution in the room with the log burner. No scientific evidence, but we enjoy what it does for us.
