Are you looking for a rewarding part-time role in Oxford, working for a charity which provides sitting services for disabled children? If so this is the position for you. After using their services I became chair of trustees. Please do take a look and apply... www.flexicare.org/work-with-us/

Please stop bringing up 1976, for a start you have to be over 55 to remember it. Also it does us a disservice. It provides climate change deniers with a nonsense argument that this is only weather, it isn't. One outlier 50yrs ago, is not the same as +30⁰C in May/June year after year. 🔥🔥🔥

If Burnham is not planning to change the manifesto commitments, what's the point in changing leaders? Doesn't that make us (the public) look like mugs, do they think we are that gullible? Policy not Politics Please!

1 / 4. Who benefits from Oxford's traffic scheme revenue? The reinvestment plan for the temporary congestion charge was approved at Cabinet last month & things are heading in the right direction. But this is one, temporary scheme. There's more on the horizon. How do we decide? 👇🏽

How infuriating to hear the chairman(?) of Asda on the Today programme implying that land use for solar farms might significantly hurt UK food production. It's nonsense. Golf courses use more than solar ever will & beef/lamb production is huge yet provides a tiny fraction of our protein & calories.

London is proving that sustained action on road safety delivers real change. By investing in better junctions, safer speeds and HGV safety standards, we’re building a city you can move around with confidence. Low rates are a start, but our goal is zero. Because every journey should end safely.
A vertical bar chart titled “London has one of the lowest rate of road traffic deaths in the world.” The chart compares average road‑traffic deaths per 100,000 daytime population for multiple international cities from 2018–2020. Bars run horizontally from 0 to 8 on the x‑axis. At the top of the chart, Oslo has the lowest value, followed by Inner London highlighted in yellow at 0.8, then Zurich, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Greater London highlighted in yellow at 1.1. Below these are Brussels, Bristol, Barcelona, Dublin, Montreal, Paris, Edmonton, Calgary, Warsaw, Milan, Vancouver, Greater Manchester, Lisbon, Melbourne, New York City, Auckland, Buenos Aires, Accra, Rome, Bogotá, Belgrade, Guadalajara, São Paulo, and Fortaleza. Cities at the bottom of the chart show the highest values, approaching 8. Footnote: “Daytime population is the sum of the resident population and the net influx of commuters.” Source: ITF Safer Streets Database.
