Initially, this character appeared as an OS for Dark Souls. But as a result, he moved into the World of Darkness and DnD.

Pants decided to sit very still and just stare for long enough for a picture. She was feeling extra photogenic today.

funny (sexist!) how men in culture criticism have a hard time “connecting” with women-led tv and film while women in culture criticism have no problem finding the inner sadgirl in leading men

a YouTuber just said "if you've been on the internet any time over the last several years you've probably heard about the Appalachian Mountains" and that's possibly the weirdest way to begin a video that I've ever heard

Everyone getting baffled by the number of new users coming from Indonesia and the sudden wave of posts written in Indonesia is funny 😂 that's Indonesia for you.

New friends have arrived! Big increase in posts created in Indonesian and Tagalog. Also a big swell in new accounts created and new follows created on the firehose! (Now back to my weekend, hope y'all have a good one!)

Graph showing posts per second by language over the past 24 hours.
English and Japanese dominate the graph during midday in each timezone, but in the past hour or two, Indonesian and Tagalog have seen a huge increase in usage.

Indonesian went from ~0/sec to ~2.4 posts/sec.
Tagalog went form ~0/sec to 0.6 posts/sec.

The graph is filtered to only show English, Japanese, Tagalog, and Indonesian. English and Japanese are the primary languages used by users on Bsky and Tagalog and Indonesia are the two languages showing a breakout moment right now.

Graph showing new records created on the event firehose for Bluesky.
The graph swells from around 60 events/sec 3 hours ago to around 140 events/sec now. The vast majority of that increase is in new follows created per second which reached a max of 52.5/sec up from a steady state of around 2.4/sec. This generally indicates new accounts or old accounts that are becoming active again.
