Its been a while since i have been but it definitely looks heavily inspired by Shakespeare's childhood home which is still standing in Stratford today!

And this is how i find out i follow you already! Congratulations again and it was great to meet you! You and the Gundam Mad team did a great job! (I was helping out at the Purus Counterattack stand- and getting the Destroy Gundam!)

I have been super excited for the new The Ghost in the Shell anime since it was first announced, so really looking forward to watching the first few episodes on the big screen in *checks watch* 20 minutes! 😊

Andor was the kind of shot in the arm Star Wars needed - but Mandalorian Movie was necessary. Saw it with my dad and it brought me back to watching Star Wars with him as a kid. I also found myself looking forward to taking my future children to Star Wars - this was one for the next generation!

Just finished I Saw The TV Glow - what an interesting film! I can see why it resonates with so many people! Definitely recommend!

I started reading the Manga some time ago (should probably get round to finishing it one of these days...) and it was so much better than the film, with better fleshed out characters and added scenes...i kinda wish the manga came out first so they adapted it rather than what we got!

New Big Angel song dropped! It's nice to see them doing so well - ever since they grew from 2 members to their current size, it feels like there is real momentum! #bigangel

Yes! At Christmas, me, my wife (never played), my sister and her husband all played a couple of matches - it worked quite well and was fun, (helped by the fact my brother-in-law and sister actually know how to play well!) - i think it is definitely something to try out in a safe space first!

Predictably my #KamenRider fixation has resulted in a purchase! I got 2 #Blokees Shin Kamen Rider & Cyclone sets from AliExpress and customised one into Kamen Rider No 2 as a very quick weekend job! I see why Blokees are so popular- they really do remind me of lego, and are a nice break from Gunpla!

At the end of Nov i posted about how much I liked the 'Tojima wants to be a Kamen Rider' anime. Since then, I have: 1. Watched the whole Fuuto PI anime 2. Watched Shin Kamen Rider 3. Watched Kamen Rider Black Sun 4. Started watching Kamen Rider Zeztz 5. Started the 1970s Manga New Fixation found!

Most certainly not! I for one find your insights based, interesting and they are appreciated!

I really haven't had time for games much this year! But am shocked that Fallout is 2nd considering I only played it for literally that 3 hrs after finishing the Fallout TV series and that Gundam Battle Operation 2 is 3rd considering i haven't actually played online at all!

DALYST @dalyst.bsky.social · 09/12/2025

I haven't really got any skin in this game since I haven't regularly watched Power Rangers since Zeo (or maybe Turbo? Showing my age!) but I always appreciated that the show continued in new guises for each generation. So i kind of hope they do that rather than try and remake Mighty Morphin again...

Update: Whilst on a transatlantic flight 2 weeks ago i watched the Fuuto PI movie, and now i am 4 eps into watching the Fuuto PI series whilst waiting for the next Tojima wants to be a Kamen Rider...

DALYST @dalyst.bsky.social · 02/12/2025

Next year it will be 10 years since I started my previous job (which really was the most toxic place on earth), and 7 years since this one, which started normal but has rapidly gone downhill since the pandemic. It would really be nice to have a *good* experience and actually have progression...

DALYST @dalyst.bsky.social · 29/11/2025

Tojima wants to be a Kamen Rider has quickly become one of my favourite anime of the year! It's got that ridiculous over the top energy which is always fun to watch 😁 (i might even have to check out Kamen Rider proper!)

They felt like a stepping stone- they were miles ahead of the NG 1/144s released for the TV series but weren't quite as good as the 08th MS Team HGs which were arguably closer to the early HGUCs. The G Units were of similar quality to the Endless Waltz too- definitely would make a good project!

Finally finished and submitted my GBWC entry for this year, 'Clash at the Castle'!

An unknown white Gundam type mobile suit, with 4 eyes and body based on Iron Blooded Orphans parts.

Two mobile suits clash at a castle by a river

I think if they really want to keep doing Amuro & Char, I think an adaption of Tomino's 0079 novels with the approach that Gquuuuuux took could work- same characters and war, different story with new VAs and character & MS designs that can appeal to new audiences without all the baggage... #Gundam

Hi yes I’d like a model kit of the GQuuuuuuux version of the Psycho Gundam right fucking now please.

021

DALYST @dalyst.bsky.social · 06/06/2025

Setsuna is one of if not my favourite main character in all of Gundam because of this- it perfectly highlights his growth- he has a fantastic character arc!

010

DALYST @dalyst.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

One more thing: check out Gquuuuuux designer Ikuto Yamashita's take on Nu Gundam and Sazabi from 1989, and then check out the concepts for Gquuuuuux- the man has clearly had some thoughts about his version of a Gundam for a long time, and just happened to play with some of them in Evangelion...

Ikuto Yamashita's Gundam illustration from 1989

Designs from the Evangelion proposal- including an all white Eva Unit 1 with a V fin....

182

DALYST @dalyst.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

If anything, the Eva references and homages in Gquuuuuux are a full circle moment. Rant over!

110

DALYST @dalyst.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

What people always seen to forget is Evangelion has Gundam in it's DNA (Anno of course worked on Char's Counterattack and heck, Eva unit 1 was originally white in the proposal). If Gquuuuuux proves nothing else it is that the old Eva/ Gainax team are OG Gundam fans, and it shows.

100

DALYST @dalyst.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

If you replaced all the designs in the show with Okawara ones, i bet there wouldn't be any comparisons made. And before anyone suggests that the Gquuuuuux itself is too Eva like, I would argue that it is far closer to the Unicorn Gundam in usage than Eva Unit 01...

210

DALYST @dalyst.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

Hot take: I feel like the 'criticisms' that Gquuuux is too similar to Eva are beginning to feel incredibly lazy. Sure, there certainly homages, and the designs have Eva-esque elements, but nothing has happened in Gquuuux that hasn't happened in a previous UC Gundam show before.... #gquuuuuux #gundam
