Today is International Day for Universal Access to Information! This year’s #IDUAI2026 theme is “Upholding Information Integrity in the Digital Age: The Role of Access to Information in Addressing Information Disorder.' At NNELS, we believe that true universal access means everyone can reach it.
Large blue text at the top reads “International Day for Universal Access to Information.” Below, an illustration of an open book features pages fanning upward in shades of blue, teal, and gold, with decorative symbols and sparkles rising from the centre. The NNELS logo appears in the lower-right corner on a light grey background.

Media Literacy Tips. In this AI era, vigilance is key! 🍁 #MediaLiteracy #Libraries #Literacy #FactChecking 🍁
Media Literacy Tips.

-Who / what is the author?
-Get the full picture. Don’t share posts or stories that you haven’t checked first!

-LOL? Is it too outlandish? Don’t get fooled!

-Multi-sourced or lone wolf? Are other sites sharing this, and what sources do they cite?
-Ask experts. Consult a librarian, an archivist, a fact-checking site, or a primary source.
-Beware of clickbait. Are headlines sensational to attract clicks?
-Adjust your lens.
