As I read through Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight I am being inspired to actually write more of my TTRPG stories. I’ve come up with significant backstory for my Thursday TTRPG character, while my Sunday tag team has been worked on since I started.

Tomorrow, the coolest part of the day is lab and we get to start on bilateria. And I am so hoping we start with lophotrochozoa, because apart from corals, these are my favorite fossils to find. And, I know that most cephalopods no longer have an outer shell, I just love that they did.

Biology is complex and amazing and while I do love rocks (a lot) I just found where the cross over is… and I feel engaged and kind of this strange feeling of being in the right place. Like yeah, I could see myself doing this as an adult, which I am at late 40s, but yeah!

Nothing amuses me more than watching a sea anemone “run away” from a predator. It is the funniest thing and it cracks me up. It’s like how animated mushrooms move! It’s cute but also funny, but also something I didn’t know happened.

Day 6 healing: and this may just be any number of factors, but getting my D&D character as a tattoo (and reading Dragonlance books before bed) seems to have diminished my nightmares and substituted out the better option for fantasy style dreams. Flaking stage is brutal, but we’re surviving!

Day 3 healing. We haven’t had the “cracking” yet (that’s where my tattoo breaks into the second stage), but it’s close. So I stated using my tattoo cream (made in MB, of course!) and we’re off to the races. The balm is from Hart and Hamilton, if you’re curious.

Day two post tattoo, and my healing is slow going. I’m happy that things are going as well as they are, because the last three tattoos had slight issues with my healing process. It may have been because of my chronic illness and surgeries and the body just being too tired.

Tattoo is glorious! My artist nailed this one and it’s a perfect piece! And now to clean it and care for it, so it becomes a piece of my history. My partner loves it, which is great because they were the one who helped me design both the character and the piece!

@samhaft.com a question on the mixing for equalizer settings best for the Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel Soundtracks. I’m finding that some of the bass tracks overpower vocals, and I just want to adjust for my hearing aids to function best. Do you have any suggestions?
