Read an option piece from Shannon Proudfoot in The Globe and Mail, which discusses Pierre Poilievre being 'robbed" of his moment by not becoming the Prime Minister. No, he wasn't robbed of his moment, he was rejected.

Last Monday my parents sat in emergency in Melville because dad has blood cancer, turned into lymphoma, and the cold he caught two days before was starting to make his throat tighten and eye hurt, from a secondary infection. Fort Qu’Appelle was directing patients there because they were so full too.

Republicans are so full of shit and bluster. Empty, worthless mewling.
Rick Scott (dipshit) tweeting

Prime Minister Carney is facing a big decision: should he trade with Communist China or the U.S.? His choice will have serious consequences for Canada's future ⬇️

Choosing Communist China as a trading partner over the U.S. isn't just a bad idea – it's a trap. Xi doesn't do trade deals in good faith. He lies, he cheats, and he steals while everyone else pays the price.

Every inch of market access Canada hands Beijing is another inch of access for Xi's hackers, his state-backed "companies," and his thugs to embed themselves inside Canadian industry and Canadian systems – until they're positioned to gut Canadian production, kill Canadian jobs, and make Canada dependent on China for everything from steel to semiconductors to medicine.Trump rolls out red carpet for Xi as high-stakes summit begins - NPR headline

Yes, it is very sad. Especially since there will be a global shortage of grain this year and Canadian farmers could make out well. I just got back from the Spiritwood area and it rained almost every day for the 2 weeks I was there.
