The church will remain sexist. The church will remain homophobic. The church will remain transphobic. The church will remain anti-woman. The new Pope sucks as much as the last one did, but it's really fun to call them 'progressive'.

The severe weakness of media about speaking about this is very dangerous. Did he? Did he? Appeared to... Accused of... Did he? What was that mysterious hand gesture? Did he? He did. Yet they ask if he did, directly above photos of him doing so. He did. It happened. And yet, they can't report a fact.

That guy in America wants to force ownership of Tiktok to be 50% in the hands of the American government. So, buh-bye Tiktok. But also, isn't the forced nationalization of a foreign corporation something interesting? I feel like if anyone else was doing it, the alt-wrong would call it socialism.
Statement from President Trump

I’m asking companies not to let TikTok stay dark! I will issue an executive order on Monday to extend the period of time before the law’s prohibitions take effect, so that we can make a deal to protect our national security. The order will also confirm that there will be no liability for any company that helped keep TikTok from going dark before my order.

Americans deserve to see our exciting Inauguration on Monday, as well as other events and conversations.

I would like the United States to have a 50% ownership position in a joint venture. By doing this, we save TikTok, keep it in good hands and allow it to say up. Without U.S. approval, there is no Tik Tok. With our approval, it is worth hundreds of billions of dollars - maybe trillions.

Therefore, my initial thought is a joint venture between the current owners and/or new owners whereby the U.S. gets a 50% ownership in a joint venture set up between the U.S. and whichever purchase we so choose.

I've seen folks express concern about the idea that BlueSky could be bought by dirtbags. Firstly, it's not publicly traded. Secondly, they've been buying the wrong stocks and caused a huge stock spike for BlueSky Digital, a crypto mining company dabbling in AI.

On this Trans Day of Remembrance, I remember three survivors, who were brave heroes, and lived long and lovely lives.
On this Trans Day of Remembrance, I remember three survivors, and three profoundly brave heroes.

This lovely gal on the right is Dora Richter. Dora was the first Trans woman to receive gender affirming surgery, and for many, many years it was believed that Dora was killed the night that the Nazzys burned the scientific libraries of information about Trans folks at the Hirschfeld Institute in 1933. To be clear, it wasn't just books that were burned that night. It's been more recently discovered that Dora lived a long and lovely life as a restauranteur in Czechoslovakia after escaping from persecution in Germany.

The two ladies on the left were Toni Ebel and Charlotte Charlaque. Toni was a gifted painter (he bulk of her paintings were destroyed by the Nazzys), and Charlotte was a writer and actress who had left America to come to Dr Hirschfeld for treatment. The two met and fell in love, and were the second and third to receive gender-affirming surgery. They escaped to Czechoslovakia together, and we're separated when Charlotte was arrested for being Jewish. She was deported to America, rather than being sent to the death camps, because Toni insisted upon her arrest that the American embassy be contacted. They never saw each other again.

All three managed escape, and lived to ripe old ages. I thought about writing today about the trans folks who were killed for who they were, but I'm joyous to speak of these three who survived.Toni Ebel, Charlotte Chalaque, and Dora Richter in the early 1930's.
