Akaashi Keiji looks up from the novel he had been reading to observe the newcomer. Despite his job at the local sheriff's office, Akashi did not care for the police who ran this town. This job was a means to an end, a way for him to pay his bills while doing his own civil duty to ensure cases were actually solved; his fingers twitched to pull the card from his pocket immediately. That would only serve to get him fired and cut off a revenue stream for both him and his partner's best friend. Looking the newcomer up and down though, he knew how this conversation was going to end.
Standing in front of him was none other than Tsukishima Kei, former boyfriend of town billionaire heir, Iwaizumi Hajime, and current valedictorian of the local high school. Akaashi had listened to his speech the weekend prior, coming to cheer on a couple friends as they graduated. Akaashi had graduated a year ago. He had listened diligently-it had been a good speech-but the rest of the crowd didn't share the same energy. Snickering, whispered words, it overtook the silence that the speaker before him was granted. Even on stage, the graduating class hadn't bothered to hide their disdain for Tsukishima.

The back of the moving truck rattles as the worker-Fujioka? Fujita? Tsukishima doesn't remember-closes it. He sighs, brushing the sweat off of his forehead. He peers through the setting sun, examining Tsukishima.
'You're sure that's it? No other furniture or precious memories you need us to haul down for you?'
Tsukishima thinks of the inside of the house and its sparsity in items. A couch, a bed, one table, and less than twenty boxes in total waiting to be unpacked.

'You found out?'
The voice doesn't startle him as it should. To be honest, Tsukishima has been in a daze since the truth had come out. He ignores the question with the obvious answer, grabbing the rag. He starts with the stone.
'Are you too scared to even look at me now?'
His hand trembles. Maybe. What's scarier to him though is the pain in Tetsurou's voice and how it still cuts through him. Kuroo Tetsurou was a liar and a ghost. Tsukishima owed him nothing. When he turns to redip the rag into the water, he lets his gaze hold on Tetsurou for a beat. He's sitting on the ground next to one of the trees that surround the gravesite, his knees pulled to his chest. There's a redness around his eyes that tugs at Tsukishima's chest. He turns back to the grave.

Tetsurou stills. 'Do what?'
'Don't ask me to live without you. Don't ask me that, not after inserting yourself into my life and making me love you. If you won't let me waste away in bed, I will throw myself from the roof. I'll hang myself in the forest, near your grave. Don't you get it? You signed my death certificate the second you made me fall for you.'

Hubby accidentally had the wrong razor head on and instead of cleaning his beard up he basically shaved it off completely and now looks 20 years younger… Anyways, old retired Bokuto accidentally shaves his beard off and Tsukki smiles to himself fondly at the memories of when they first met

This month was my first time participating in the @hqfe.bsky.social , it was really fun!! It was also my first time drawing #KonoAka but as I was looking through my recipient's (@spriingflower <3) prompts and tags, it really spoke to me (and I'm still thinking about them 😌) #haikyuu

Have a last minute #wipwednesday because my brain stopped braining so I barely wrote anything.

'Okay,' he sighed, clapping his hands together. I told you I didn't want to suck your blood. That is a benefit for you.'
'How?' He asked incredulously.
Kuroo had taken one pointed look at Tsukishima's wrists. There, on his skin were visible red marks that circled the pale flesh. They were fading, but Kuroo knew what they were. Tsukishima had tugged his sleeves back down, but his face had gone paler than before.
'You don't like changing. You lock yourself up, and spend the nights torturing yourself. Let me drain you, not fully, but enough that you won't be a harm to anyone anymore, not even yourself.'

BkTsk | romcom a la Chandler & Monica secret dating antics | “Is that my shirt?”

“Hey Tsukki, is that my shirt?”

Kei glared at Kōtarō as Kuroo eyed the fabric draped over Kei’s frame.

Why do you even have his clothes in your closet? Kei beamed his thoughts towards Kōtarō in hopes that his boyfriend— his very secret boyfriend— suddenly gained telepathic abilities.

“I don’t think so.” Lying through his teeth, Kei brushed past the pair of them as he settled in on the couch. He and Kōtarō had been seeing each other for a few months now, something they had been keeping from their friends while they relished in the ‘honeymoon phase’ as Kōtarō had so affectionately called it. While they had been able to keep it from them all at first, the last few weeks had far more slip ups than Kei was comfortable with. First there was Akaashi finding a second toothbrush in Kei’s bathroom. Then Hinata almost walked in on them in the locker room after one of the Jackal’s practices.

Now this. Kei had inadvertently grabbed a shirt he had thought was his boyfriend’s when it was in fact his roommate Kuroo’s.

There were not a lot of places Kei could disappear to in their apartment to avoid the inevitable confrontation with Kuroo that was upon them. Their rooms were small, not even a closet in them, and the great room could barely fit the couch and dining furniture. The bathroom was practically a closet— Kei hated having to use it. You practically had to stand in the toilet to take a shower.

It was a college student’s apartment. One that neither Kōtarō or Kuroo were willing to part with, even though they had both good paying jobs long ago.

“No,” Kuroo hummed as he trailed behind Kei to the couch, “that’s definitely my shirt. Yaku brought it back from Saint Petersburg the last time he came home.”

“He got me one too!” Kōtarō piped up, the look of panic still painted all over his face.

“So Tsukki is wearing your shirt?” Kuroo cocked an eyebrow, a smirk tugging on the corner of his lips.

“Yaku-san got me one as well.” Kei’s jaw was firm as he lied once more, hoping it would cover any hint of it that Kuroo could potentially see. He was kicking himself for not piecing it together earlier. The front of the shirt was plastered with a water-coloured image of the Winter Palace and the words ‘Saint Petersburg’ scrawled across it. Kei had just grabbed the first thing his hands landed on in a rush to cover up when they had heard Kuroo get home.

The lie could have worked, had Kōtarō not chimed in the same time as well.

“Well yeah, of course he’s wearing my shirt!” Kōtarō beamed, proud of his attempt at throwing Kuroo off the scent. Whatever tension had been building in the room broke in an instant, Kuroo preening in victory as he stretched out on the couch.

They’d finally been caught, there was no doubt in Kei’s mind. Months and months of being so careful, of keeping this little secret of his and Kōtarō’s with no pressure from anyone. But before Kuroo could start in on the pair of them, the outer door to the apartment opened up revealing Akaashi on the other side. It wasn’t an uncommon occurrence for the four of them once Kei moved to Tokyo, to randomly show up at the other’s homes unannounced.

The timing of Akaashi’s arrival today was something of fate, cutting off whatever teasing was about to pour from Kuroo’s lips. At least, that’s what Kei had thought. But fate was not on his and Kōtarō’s side.

Cool azure eyes landed on Kei briefly before flitting in Kōtarō’s direction, then back to Kei.

“Had I known Kōtarō and Kei were finally announcing their relationship I would have come over sooner.”

“I’ve never liked you, Akaashi.” Kei muttered, his words lacking any sort of conviction.

While he hadn’t exactly given any thought as to how he and Kōtarō would tell everyone, this was, at the very least, not the worst way they could have done it.
