I would prerefer a clunky bilingual message to the one that happened last night. That’s how Nova Scotia handled it when I got alerts there. Without knowing all the details, my hunch is that sending 2 at the same time would lead to one replacing/overriding the other.

I’d take your 1mm. We only got 0.4mm.

Unintentionally interrupted this hog earlier. Judging by the noise outside right now it did not upset him for long…

Really excited to share a thing I've been working on: a new book from @publicdigital.bsky.social on shaping technology for transformation. Tech is a fundamental part of every organisation - but they're often hamstrung by layers of digital geology, alongside huge pressure to chase the latest hype.

From @willhaycardiff.bsky.social’s newsletter. After more than a year in office, how is it that the PM still can’t pronounce the name of Wales’ First Minister? A leader in his own party. It’s incredibly disrespectful. willhaywardwales.substack.com/p/wales-watc...
The Prime Minister also mispronounced Eluned Morgan’s name several times at one point making a noise which sounded like “Eleanor”

“He does always struggle with her name,” one of the onlookers said

Of course, all that kit then meant I had to get a good looking customised rack made to house it all.

Hog watch… this little hog is snuffling around our front yard. 2nd time I’ve seen it this week. Not one of our usual 2 visitors. Needs a name if I see it a third time. #hogwatch

And here is Bach 3 hours later. Thirsty little things.

More hog sightings tonight. Bach is in their usual spot under the bird feeders. But also spotted this new little hog snuffling through the gravel on the drive. No sign of Chonk tonight, but hopefully the wildlife camera will pick them up later.

This was the zonal map that had been touted (source: inews.co.uk/inews-lifest...)
A map of the UK divided into mostly horizontal zones showing which zones coud pay more for electricity. Scotland includes zones A-E, with A-C being the cheapest. England and Wales includes zones F-L with L (covering Devon, Cornwall and the South Coast) being the most expensive. South Wales is linked with London in zone J.

Always enjoy it when you go to a local authority online service and get presented with the Apache2 test page. Fills you with confidence every time.
Screenshot of a web server testing page. The title says "Apache 2 Test Page" with a description that says:

"This page is used to test the proper operation of the Apache HTTP server after it has been installed. If you can read this page it means that Apache HTTP server installed at this site is working properly

If you are a member of the general public: The fact that you are seeing this page indicates that the website you just visited is either experiencing problems or is undergoing routine maintenance..."

It’s been a brutal week. My mum died. I’m broken. So much of me came from her, including my love of sci-fi, (some of) my music taste She encouraged my interest in technology, even going back to college to learn how things worked so we could do things together. Goodbye mum.

It finally happened. I’ve been Musked. Final trigger for me to replace the blue bird with a blue sky on my phone Home Screen.
