Het kan aan mij liggen, maar ik vind het schandalig dat de verantwoordelijkheid voor onze gezondheid bij onszelf wordt neergelegd met een 'drink geen alcohol'-campagne terwijl we niet worden beschermd tegen pfas en andere troep in vrijwel alles dat we eten, drinken en inademen.

Hadden deze mannen geschiedenis kunnen schrijven zonder hun vrouwen, die alle zorg op zich namen maar onzichtbaar blijven? Zorg is arbeid!

"ECHTE HELDEN VERSCHONEN LUIERS"

Nederlandse straten staan vol met standbeelden van mannen die geschiedenis schreven. Maar zelden wordt stilgestaan bij de onzichtbare arbeid die hun prestaties mogelijk maakte. Wie voedde hun kinderen op? Wie zorgde voor het huishouden, het eten, de emotionele steun? Wie waren soms zelfs hun belangrijkste raadgever? Dat waren vaak vrouwen. Onzichtbaar en als vanzelfsprekend beschouwd.

Tegelijkertijd stelt deze actue ook een andere, vooruitkijkende roog wat en wie-willen we eigenlijk vieren op 1 mei? Zorg is namelijk geen bijzaak, maar de basis waarop onze samenleving draait. Onze actie keert zich daarom tegen het idee van de vrijblijvende 'papadag' en pleit voor san samenleving waarin zorg een gedeelde verantwoordelijkheid is.
