Naoki Hamaguchi says that in FFVII Rebirth, there was a piano mini-game. This time around, that’s been greatly expanded, and it now contains information related to Tifa. You can learn more about Tifa by playing this Piano game. He says he's definitely going to get asked by PR why he just said that.

FFVII Revelation Director Naoki Hamaguchi says it’s best to imagine the DLC like what they did with Intermission: digging deeper into the characters of Vincent and Sephiroth. In regard to whether those stories take place in the past or the present, he’s not going to reveal that now. (VGC, 9/17)

Hamaguchi says it's more accurate to consider AC to be a part of the OG FF7’s canon rather than the remake series’. The series has not yet been completed, and since they've not revealed how it will conclude at this stage, they don’t believe it’d be appropriate to share whether it’s canon or not.

Naoki Hamaguchi says there's a scene that's pretty essential to the story of FFVII, where Cloud has a moment of introspection and discovers his identity and how it fits in with Zack and Aerith. He says he's beaten Revelation about 40 times and that scene made him cry every time. (omelete, 6/17)

FINAL FANTASY XIV @en.finalfantasyxiv.com · 24/04/2026

The Evercold main scenario will be set on one of the reflections - the Fourth.

A massive white stone structure rises out of a cloudy landscape. Part of this huge building has been constructed to resemble a blue-eyed serpentine form, embellished with gold. In the foreground is another smaller wood and stone building surrounded by more serpentine figures.

A dusky airship port constructed with multiple levels. Crenellated walls and squat towers are built into the rocky cliffs. An aetheryte and various buildings with green roofs are dispersed around the port.

An aetheryte glows brightly on cobblestone street running along a sheer cliff side. The bottom of the cliff is obscured by fog. Stone brick buildings are built into the walls. Windows are lit with dim golden light. A few cranes enabling travel between different street levels are visible.

A mass of cylindrical buildings with ornate and decorative architecture ascend in different levels of height around a larger structure obscured partially by cloud. Bridge-like structures extend from this massive building. Many of the buildings are illuminated by light from blue crystalline forms of various shape and size.

An Unexpected Extrovert? Though ordinarily cool and brusque, there’s a side to Cloud that gets caught up in the energy of the moment. When delivering a speech to rouse the Seventh Infantry, he initially struggles for words, but after some positive feedback, Cloud’s spirits begin to rise (RbU, 2024)
