It's been a while since I've done this (over a year), but having found out that at least Ayasa and Yuki were at the Cookie's Bustle 25th anniversary party, here's East of Eden's newest music video (from 3 months ago). Look, I never said I was timely. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Q1b...

I've got five. Not pictured: Gackt as Yoshi in Bunraku (2015).

Henry Rollins of Black Flag as Spider in Johnny Mnemonic (1995).

Jane Wiedlin of the Go-Go's as Joan of Arc in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989).

David Bowie as Jareth the Goblin King in Labyrinth (1986).

I found out about this band because they were playing a show with SAISEIGA. The two bands ended up liking playing together so much that they just kept doing it. Anyway, here's some DOLL PARTS. It's not my favorite song from them, but it's probably in my top 5. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfKj...

I was getting ads for US tourism on YouTube earlier and I have to say, as a Canadian, that's a little fucking tone-deaf, YouTube.

In regards to certain vastly unqualified individuals being confirmed to certain positions and the depredations of mad oligarchs ransacking the functioning of our once great neighbour to the south, I would like to provide this public domain portrait of an ardent supporter of vaccinations.

A public domain photograph of a public domain portrait of Dr. Joseph-Ignace Guillotin, a man well-known for his medical acumen, ardent support of vaccination, distaste for the death penalty, and absolutely nothing else of note.

As I've said elsewhere, I don't really care that much about genre when it comes to music. At least two (but probably more) of my favorite bands just defy being stuck into one genre, and I've found that's why I love them so much. My favorite kind of music is music, I suppose.

Of my 5 favorite Japanese bands, so far I've only posted a link to a video from one of them. And it was the first one I posted. I'll get to more of my favorites eventually, I guess, probably...

Haven't done this in a while. This is the first song I heard by Kikiaiai, and it's probably still my favorite. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2iwt...

1. Michiru Yamane. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michiru... 2. I was tempted to go with Tragic Prince from SotN, but I just have to go with Iron Blue Intention from Castlevania: Bloodlines. Especially this version where she plays it on solo piano. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrW2...

If Back to the Future gets remade 5-10 years from now, Doc Brown would make a time machine out of a Cybertruck. And, unlike the Delorean, it still won't make the Cybertruck cool.

Man, I'm still posting like I've got a much bigger audience than I do. Anyway, here's probably my favorite song from Hadouken. www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOuw...

Why an edit button was bad for Twitter, and would also be bad for Bluesky, a Thread: In short, it's because of the way Reposts and Quote Posts work.

Just saw a Cybertruck in person for the first time. I remember when we used to make fun of the Honda Element for being an ugly fucking cube. I am so sorry, Honda Element.

Again, probably not going to do this daily, but I really love this song, and it's the one that's going to be starting my day off today. So, if you find this, enjoy. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fW-M...

Maybe something I could do here that I don't bother to do on The Other Place is occasionally (don't want to commit to daily) post a YouTube link to some Japanese music. (Official links, where possible.) I don't know, still mulling it over.

Probably going to be posting here about as often as I do on Twitter, which is to say barely.

OK, for whatever reason, I've come here. I'm still going to mainly stick with Twitter, though. I mostly just use to keep up on news about the Japanese bands I enjoy, and I don't think any of them have come here yet.
