*Fifty years ago*, my mum bought me Krazy comic #1 - this very issue. Dog-eared but well-loved, although the free plastic vampire teeth were lost almost straight away.
A tatty copy of Krazy comic #1, dated 16th October 1976 on the cover, featuring three members of the Krazy Gang.

#29 Two missives from the Letters page. STOP HAVING FUN INCORRECTLY, PEOPLE!
Letter criticising a recent White Dwarf article on Space Travel in AD&D: "King Arthur and ye knights of ye rounde merchant space ship, riding valiantly to battle on their trusty anti-gravity steeds, nobly adorned in alchemical backpacks and brandishing rifled weapons is hardly the spirit of AD&D."
I don't know, sounds pretty cool to me.Letter looking down on people who play RPGs for the "simple desire to hack and slay", rather than the noble pursuit of role-playing.
I'll get me coat.
