Yours is a lot more succinct💜,and also explains biphobic attitudes amongst lesbians who refuse to date bi women ("she's actually straight")&straight men who do but ignore the bi-ness ("she's actually straight").

The question here is more like, why would fears of unconsensual sex pop into one's head at the mere thought of a bisexual man if one is not biphobic? Why is a bisexual guy one is dating not a person one is having a regular romantic r-ship with, but a horny beast one must protect one's anus from? 🙃

as for feeling one might never be enough for the bi guy, that's yet another biphobic notion that bi men are always hypersexual, ever-hungry for men,&incapable of commitment to women or monogamy. anal sex? since when is that strictly bi territory? complicated? only if you believe all the crap above.

all of these are silly notions based on biphobic stereotypes&not really justifiable. if a bisexual man is attracted to both women&men, only a view which erases his bisexuality, & sees him as 'really gay', can make him seem less sexually compatible with a straight woman than a straight man would be.

What does "sharing your idea of sexual attraction" even mean though? To me at least, "A man who finds men sexually attractive is not boyfriend material. He needs to only find women sexually attractive to be boyfriend material" sounds like an idea of sexual attraction one can only share with biphobes

Hard deciding which is the absolute worst, but the time when my gay, potentially bi, pal asked me if I could give him a proper initiation into "proper roll-in-the-hay type of heterosexual sex" was pretty bad. He added I needn't worry about his herpes as it's pretty common&I probably already have it😂

20yo me was already in the thick of bumbling independence abroad though,&in a very "codependent" relationship with my.. now-husband🫠 17-19yo me, oth, wouldn't be impressed I no longer write highfalutin poems, let my German rust&never learnt Arabic. But she might love I took up social work&gardening.

Maybe she'd also find me too basic&practical. Maybe even too cool!😂 She wouldn't really understand me. As for disappointed/ impressed, fuck knows what confusing ideas of self-completion she had then, but I think she knew the fraught choices she was making would probably lead to more fraught choices.

20yo me was a supremely strange person who struggled with self-worth, social norms&belonging despite her boldness. Many things obvious to others were totally opaque to her. I think she'd be relieved I managed to become a normal person w/ some semblance of social skills. Being a weirdo was stressful.

to clarify, I love the actual work, just not the over-regulated, over-standardised, and utterly soul-crushing way the qualifying process is structured

I had to churn out 15000+ combined since April😭 in completely artificial binding of sociology, evaluation of law, policy, etc, to decisionmaking,&have to do it all over again next semester.😭 I hate every second of doing this,&left academia for a reason, but I was tired of underpayment&powerlessness.

Final essay, practice portfolio, etc., submitted😌,&once assessed, I'm hopefully halfway through! And I'm immediately back on the double-horse wagon of earning, via the series of indignities that casual care work is--and obligatory yearning (for love and god's grace to save me from whatever this is).
