iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

So is the blue! I only had 10 minutes for knitting this evening, but this weekend, i am gonna make up for it!

Doing that new thing, out of your comfort zone, it is what leads ti growth. And growth ultimately gives you a better chance at a slice of happiness. ... i have to remind myself too, sometimes. Go you! You'll be so proud of yourself!

You're faster than me 😄

New knitting project, or actually an old one: the back panel of a summer sweater. I'll finish it for next summer, I'm sure.

Okay, that immediately brings me back to French class. Because I rather listened to music than learn French. And i could get away with listening ti my own cassette tapes on the classroom player. Instead of the French lessons.

Of course. But fairer regulations would help people find affordable houses, if you just earn too much for social housing.

From private persons? Good ones? No. 'Vastgoed' companies are usually bigger entities and then there are makelaars that manage private rentals. The building opposite ours is managed by a bigger company that just charges high rents. But at least it is focused on rentals. There seems to be a big gap.

Personally, i do not think there should be small landlords who are not so small and called huisjesmelkers. As part of a vve, I've only had trouble with them. Taking advantage of the work the vve does, but never spending money on their flats and renters. Glad most of them have sold their flats.

110

Daenelia @daenelia.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Here, also Netherlands, they are building new apartments. Slowly. But across from our flat is a very expensive rental building that has been empty for a long time because it is so expensive. That's being fined now. Cant have too many empty units. Lower the rent, get people in there.

Cartoonjournaal 6 oktober 2026: "De begrotingsscrum van kabinet Jetten..." #minderheidskabinet #begroting #Jetten #onderhandelingen #oppositie

Kids should read. Right? And if you can't find a good, funny, little bit scary, but mostly riotous book written by modern authors: I still go back to Roald Dahl. Because we have #kinderboekenweek in the Netherlands, i got this fave: Charlie and the chocolate factory. I hope it entertains the kid.

The cover of the Dutch version of the kid's book. Title has changed Charlie to Sjakie. The translation is awesome.

Under 18 degrees Celsius. And overcast, rainy. You have to wear a coat, maybe even switch to a wintercoat. Usually, October is the month to start heating your home in the evenings. Now it's still 22 degrees or so. I haven't looked at my winter clothes yet.

010

Daenelia @daenelia.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Dat is een dilemma. Jouw geld gaat wel naar de eigenaar. ...
