Ahaha, now you've said it I can't unsee it!

Daemonrich @daemonrich.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

The 4th edition orcs and goblins were my dream as a kid, but they were so expensive! Mind you, they're expensive now on eBay 😂

I have to say, I struggled to enjoy them. They are very satin, more so than the standard GW paints, which made it hard to see what I was doing. They do cover well though. I kind of feel they're more suited for gaming models than display work.

I've painted this Squig Hopper entirely using the new Tone Pro paints, which Games Workshop sent me a small test set of. It did mean I had to mix a lot of the colours. I'll be releasing a YouTube video with the full process and my thoughts. #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #WarhammerTonePro

Yet another update for my Chaos Lord. I hope you like updates as they'll be a lot more of him to come 😂. #oldworld #artisopusltd #PaintingWarhammer #warhammercommunity

The horns will be quite dark, but I'm going to paint a shine on them as well.

It is NMM. I'd try to look at how light falls on surfaces. Don't worry too much about NMM specifically.

Daemonrich @daemonrich.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

A sexy leg update! I'm just going to push through and get everything painted before I start tweaking and refining. #oldworld #artisopusltd #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #chaoswarriors

It's just how my brain works. Plenty of pros also do all of the base work first, it just depends on preference.

001

Daemonrich @daemonrich.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

It's brushwork and very small stippling.

010

Daemonrich @daemonrich.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Working on the mounted chaos lord. If you notice, his helmet has a skull in just like the freehand on the banner I've been working on! #oldworld #artisopusltd #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #chaoswarriors

ChatGPT probably told them to say that as a response.

I'm getting so tired of seeing generative AI polluting art.

06811

Daemonrich @daemonrich.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

There are so many companies in the model painting industry using AI now and it makes me sick. It really shows how much they care about art and artists.

I've been painting this guy on stream. I'm still getting the hang of painting on stream 😂. He's the leader for my Battle March army! #oldworld #artisopusltd #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #chaoswarriors

A tiny bit more work on the banner. I've made him a bit bitey 😂. There is going to be eyes, filigree, hair etc. Loads to add, and then a background! #oldworld #artisopusltd #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #chaoswarriors

No problem! I hope you had a good stream!

A super early start on my banner for my chaos lord on steed. It's going to need a lot more detail and refinement. There won't be much black background left when I'm finished either. #oldworld #artisopusltd #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #chaoswarriors

It's nmm, so it's mixes of blues and browns, using light volumes to simulate the shine of metal.

Daemonrich @daemonrich.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

I love all of the chaos iterations, but these new Old World warriors are really speaking to me.

000

Daemonrich @daemonrich.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

Thanks! I've got big plans for it, so I'll have to knuckle down to get it done in time.

He was a big inspiration to me when I was competing then! Such beautiful work. Thank you!

I think the last thing he saw was probably an axe 😂

020

Daemonrich @daemonrich.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

He's nearly finished, just the back of the axe and shield, plus a rough inner cape to go. Then I can see if iii can translate it onto a GD entry. Maybe it'll end in disaster 😂 #oldworld #artisopusltd #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #chaoswarriors

I know, right! Also, the sorcerer with the horns that goes on top looks amazing!

Daemonrich @daemonrich.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

Just a quick test piece to check colours for a potential Golden Demon entry. Also for my 0ld World chaos army as l'm buying them all! Where is that chaos dragon!? #oldworld #artisopusltd #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #chaoswarriors

I haven't got that far! Luckily it's mostly cape 😂

Thank you! If you don't have one already, invest in a headset. I use 2.5x magnifying lenses. It makes a massive difference for precision. You just have to be careful not to get lost in the details.

110

Daemonrich @daemonrich.bsky.social · 17/07/2026

I got bored of painting him smooth, so I'm going with lots of weathering and stronger lighting. It'll take a while to sort him out properly, but I think it'll be worth it. #New40k #artisopusltd #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #AdWip

Very cute symbol! I do love some freehand. Great job!

Daemonrich @daemonrich.bsky.social · 13/07/2026

I've done a bit more work on the Blood Angel captain. I keep going backwards and forwards on whether to make his armour shiny with bright highlights, or more strong red. I'm looking forward to the freehand shield! #New40k #artisopusltd #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #AdWip

I've done a little more on the Blood Angel captain. It's a lovely pose on the model and it's nice to have the MKVII helmets back as well! #New40k #artisopusltd #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #AdWip

Daemonrich @daemonrich.bsky.social · 06/07/2026

A very early start on the Blood Angel captain from the Armageddon box (early review copy from GW). I'm going for a deeper armour colour so that all the extra bling on the model will stand out. Also, it'll keep it red instead of going pink 😂 #New40k #WarhammerCommunity #AdWip
