I’m not sure if I’m more excited for the potential future the Lanterns finale set or wholly disappointed they wasted the acting skills of Kyle Chandler & the potential of some great Hal Jordan stories. I didn’t even like Green Lantern (or DC comics) until I started watching the show 😭

Ever since my son was 3, I told him to sing like no one can hear him. It was my way of telling him to fuck what people think & just do what makes you happy. Pretty ironic advice coming from a guy whose mental health kept him trapped at home terrified of the world & weighed down by zero self-esteem.

Exactly. I still maintain an account on X but grudgingly. Some creators, media outlets, and companies don't have a presence on Bluesky so I feel forced to stay. I'm forever biting my tongue and reminding myself to not engage with the more obvious trolls and bad actors on X.

The AI is what drew me to AoE. The brutalness of the enemy makes it more...engaging? I have to think on my feet more often than not. Same reason my custom Civ 6 games always included Montezuma, Jayavarman VII, and Catherine de Medici (The Black Queen version) on Deity. lol

Absolutely. Most of social media is just an opinionated echo chamber now. It’s basically the G.I.F.T. axiom meets Dead Internet theory and a non-stop flow of angry, hateful, Dunning-Kruger driven engagement farming. I've been guilty of it, but I recognized I was like that and try to do better now.

Positivity is why I'm shifting from X to BlueSky. I'm constantly deleting replies on X because I do not want to assist the algorithm in fostering the culture of toxicity over there. It may sound weird but here I can be myself & engage in actual discourse. On X I always feel like I'm on the defensive

A great write up for StarCraft 2. I like that RTS games are having a bit of a resurgence with games like Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 & Stronghold 4 coming out soon. I miss the days of RTC dominance with C&C, CoH, Homeworld, & Warcraft 3

Great write up though. I do appreciate your passion for the game! Kerrigan & her overall Arc across SC & SC2 is one of the best arcs in gaming. That said, SC2 doesn't scratch the RTC itch for my the way AoE 2, or even Red Alert 2 does all these years later.

While I love StarCraft a lot I disagree that SC2 is the best game in the RTS genre. In my opinion Age of Empires II is a masterpiece and the best the genre has to offer decades after it release. It's resource gathering, combat, the ages system & immersion are unmatched even in more modern titles.

Survived my first on-camera stream! As someone with AvPD, showing my face on stream is anxiety inducing, so this was a huge test of resilience. Shoutout to my wife for being the sole (and best) viewer. Need to fix some 2nd monitor setup issues before next stream, but an hour in the books feels good.

Finished up The Blood of Dawnwalker. I'd give it a solid 8.5/10. Took a bit to get used to the directional combat but once it clicked it was really fun. Story was engaging & left me wanting to play again and make different choices or explore more areas. I'm eager to try different builds. Great game!

I disagree. Been reading comics (and watching movies) for 4 decades. There are stakes in Doomsday & the multiversal stuff has been building for years now. Am i happy about the pivot to Doom over Kang, no; however Im still excited to see this movie & I trust the Russo's to adapt and tell the story.

True, but we also thought we knew how Infinity War was gonna go because of the Infinity Gauntlet story arc and they managed to keep that fresh. And tbf I have no qualms about a beat for beat adaptation of Time Runs Out/Secret Wars because it will still be different enough to be surprising.
