+ve it's payoff day -ve I have to be awake about things well before noon As 12-4 OOW I feel this should be in some way illegal.

Our 2/E just pointed out that IALA are doing buoys all wrong. A Cardinal mark should be red, and instead of a bell it should scream "libera te tutemet!" if you get too close.

Apparently giving the 8-12 OOW a big Buddy Christ thumbs up and declaring 'Welcome to wind against tide!' was not the response they were expecting to a comment about how the ship is constantly heaving and rolling.

If someone told you that dessert would come with custard, but it turned out to be cold confectionery custard would you: a) feel sad b) feel betrayed c) feel empty inside

Greetings from the Bristol Channel

A picture of a fox on what appears to be snow. The fox is facing into a strong wind. It is captioned in bold white letters "It Fucken Wimdy"

Ambushing ABs as they washwah their plates, demanding to know their favourite lighthouse so we can continue the game of 'if that lighthouse was a dog, what breed would it be' gets you really funny looks. Just FYI

Fuck yes. It has been a long few days.

You know you're an AtoN nerd when: 1) you're sat in a pub named after a buoy and your desperately trying not to tell the staff the buoy is now a west cardinal, so their branding with it as a south is out of date 2) you're playing 'if this lighthouse was a dog, what breed of dog would it be'

I'd entirely forgotten about them, but it is deeply pleasing that it works on that level too.

I was sat on the 1714 last night. They finally kicked us off and said it wasn't leaving that night at about 2025. Bad times all round.

I'm bad at infantry in ARMA3. Can't shoot at all. Generally I'm the RO and help co-ordinate air / artillery etc. Friday called for a someone to stay in camp and use direct fire support. I volunteered and was rewarded with an M50 Ontos. A++ would mallet the ever living shit out of hillsides again.

Let's not forget Interaction as well. There'll be a point in that approach where the +ve pressure from the large ship's now will have kicked out the stern of the smaller vsl, causing her to 'turn into' the collision, even if her rudder was hard over the other way.

I'm trying to book tickets to go on the Postal Museums underground railway. I won't let me, as my post code isn't in their database. The irony is killing me.

Wearing my RNLI cap today, for reasons. At the train station, there's a gentleman wearing a different RNLI cap. Silent nods of acknowledgement exchanged. Fuck the Fash

Feeling cultured. Today was Coyote vs Acme - fun film suffering from only one showing a day, in the middle of the afternoon. Tomorrow is Operation Mincemeat.

I made the mistake of reading some of the comments this morning. I know, I know, I should have known better. Now I have to go take a long, hot shower then ponder ways to restore my remaining faith in humanity.
