Oof, no A/C would be rough. I have POTS & some other stuff that makes me heat sensitive. I'm lucky it didn't really kick in until I was in Canada. I've always been a sun worshipper, I want to be in direct sun at all times. But I started getting heat exhaustion in my 20s. I miss baking myself 😓

I have several altars. My primary is for Santa Muerte. its mostly Hers & a few other folk saints. As long as She is central, She's fine with it. That's usually my working altar. Then I have my devotional Hindu altar where the deities of my sampradaya are, and the other Hindu deities I honor.

Its really scary that the changes are so clear and present. Not that I would go currently, but I have trouble when I visit my original home Orlando now, too. The heat is SO much more intense than it was when I was there in the 80s & 90s. I can barely deal with it.

The lore he was taught was how to avoid the unseen people in the hills. Those were definitely NOT paranormal, as unsettling as their presence may be. I tried to press him about the dogs. They were spooky because they were silent, large & odd looking from inbreeding. But they were flesh & blood ☹️

I want to think so, but he was basically a feral kid. His dad was a single dad in the military. He basically raised himself & would spend more time up in the woods in the hills and hollers than in the house. If he says he was never taught lore or saw weird stuff, I sadly believe him.

Then when we got home, we got notified that some disability paperwork that'd been in limbo for over 2 yrs (its usually only a 6month process) Finally came through. We were told this was setting up how much gov $ he would get when he turns 65. Turns out it includes payments now as well...

Yesterday was bonkers 😅 Freak slush storm blew thru & we almost got in several crashes on the highway on the way to the appointment. But the injection went well. Its generally excruciating even w anesthetic. The doc tried a new method & it eliminated all pain but the sting of the anesthetic itself!

Living in S Ontario since 99: we haven't had a proper winter in at least 6 years. And it was swinging wildly for a good decade before that. Yes, it still snows. But we barely get any real big dips into -20s anymore, which should be most of February. Now dips only come during polar vortex storms.
