Same here. I can pretend to be “normal” for a bit, but it’s exhausting and sooner or later folks realize I’m somehow “odd”. I don’t bother with makeup unless it’s a special occasion and my hair needs to be out of my face, not look pretty. 😆

Ist schon was länger her bei mir. Ich hatte die langsamste Sorte und dann noch die Einstellung auf ganz langsam und bin trotzdem nicht klargekommen. Ich war aber auch immer die Langsamste in der Umkleide beim Schulsport und so. Ich kann gewisse Dinge irgendwie nicht so schnell.

Same here. Nice is my default mode of operation, though I can be quite stern if needed. I’m neurodivergent in some way or other and not very “girly”, though, perhaps that plays into it.

I don’t know 😅 I don’t know how to read their behavior, if they like something or not. I know bunnies don’t like to be petted, they just endure it. I didn’t notice that as a child, though.

This is why you need #testers when you write software 🤦‍♀️ My health insurance gives me 20 euros for new #running shoes if I run 10k / 90 minutes per week for 8 in 10 weeks. I have more than met both goals, yet the app says “didn’t make it ✅” 🤦‍♀️ Probably, because the week isn’t over yet. 😂 #coding

Ich fand die App total stressig. Selbst auf der langsamsten Stufe kam ich nicht schnell genug hinterher. Vielleicht haben sie das mittlerweile verbessert. 😅

At work, they do a virtual charity run each summer, but they require a picture as proof and want to use it for social media, too (tough you can at least decline that). I look like a sweaty tomato after a run, especially if it's hot. I really don't think they need to know that. 😅

Oh no. I hate construction noise (any kind of noise, really). We once booked something that was advertised as quiet and it turned out there were different construction works happening around the clock. 🫨 Pretty much the worst vacation I ever had. There was no escaping it either.

Please be kind to yourself after everything that has been going on in your life. Just do what you can and don't get injured, because that won't help at all. Well done doing that spin session! That's a good start.

Haven't had that happen to me in a while, probably because I am slightly intimidating many folks for some reason, but I certainly have a problem with that happening to anyone.

I also don't need them to call me out of the blue and at a super inconvenient time to schedule the next yearly appointment either. I get that both are helpful for some folks, but they should just ask for our preferences instead of bothering everyone. I can use a calendar.

Weil es unverschämt ist, falls es kein Versehen war. Ggf. sogar auch bei einem Versehen, falls das die Voreinstellung sein sollte und sie "nur" vergessen haben, das zu ändern. Dass der Vater als erstes genannt wird, hat bei der "üblichen" Aufgabenteilung hierzulande auch schon ein Geschmäckle.

Got my new Apple Watch yesterday and already ran with it today. Also today, Garmin support finally got back to me (took them five days) and gave me a cryptic hint to try a different payment method even though I could see that the original payment had gone through. Thanks, but no thanks. 😅

These are pretty difficult to kill. They're fun with those babies! No idea what their name is in either German or English, but we had them when we were kids and they survived quite a bit of neglect.

Oh, I love wind! It's less fun when you're trying to be fast, but when you just run, it can be fun!

Do you run with some kind of sports watch? Mine has a pacer mode and will nag me when I'm too fast or too slow. 😁 (Same with heart rate zones.)

Is there a parkrun near where you live? Those sound like fun!

I'll have to check that running track out when they've finished. Probably too smooth and thus too boring for me, but I'm ready for them to surprise me.

😆 Today was even better with shoes more suited for road running. The total distance was around what I meant to do this weekend, I had only intended yesterday's run to be the shorter run, but this combination also worked. 🙂
