🪸 A recent study by WHOI Reef Solutions scientists shows that microbes and genetic material in seawater change when nearby corals are sick. Seawater was a better indicator of disease than sampling the corals themselves. @amiposts.bsky.social has the scoop: go.whoi.edu/microbio-coral
