If you want to get a "Googlebook" but for less money, the Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 is on sale at Best Buy for $700 right now, which is not a bad price compared to the $900+ of regular Googlebooks. It'll likely be one of the first in line to upgrade to GooglebookOS when the upgrade path arrives.

I've said before that any free streaming service that has the on-demand library of Tubi and the (pre-2024) live TV channels of Pluto TV would be the best free streaming service in the game. If Skydance plays its cards right, Pluto TV could become almost exactly that service.

I'll never get on board with the clock and notification shade being at the top of the screen, when they should be at the bottom right corner, giving the user that little bit of screen real estate back, like the current ChromeOS taskbar. It feels like a MacBook Neo-incited rush job.

If I'm going purely based on hardware, I'd probably go with the HP Googlebook 14 if I was getting a Googlebook. It's ARM (which Android apps are already designed for), and it's got a USB-C port on both sides (which a lot of Windows Snapdragon laptops don't have).
