Archaeologically-accurate replica pieces that come broken so you have to repair them when they arrive 😂 (No shade against the artist, it’s a fragile piece and shipping sucks.) 🏺 Rhyton in the shape of a lion from the Assyrian trading colony Kaneš 🏺 AncientBluesky

I don't care if this makes people mad. Fursuit makers are allowed to price their work however they want. This includes putting suits up for auction. If you're mad about it, then either start saving up money or learn to build your own. These are luxury items. They're not needed for being a furry.

Baal making assumptions about Telipinu 😂 #writingcommunity #author #fantasy 🌈📚 ⛈️ 🏺

Baal didn’t pride himself on his familiarity with international deity ranks, but he was fairly certain that someone with a two-horned crown constituted “Not important, Acceptable to Forget” in most cultures.

I joined the Creatures community and was learning to draw and code mods. At 8, I made a bathtub item that turned on and off. The older modders were like, “this doesn’t do anything to stats. It’s useless.” I’m like, “sir, I’m 8.” Them: “Oh. Carry on.”

When you see a peer-reviewed scientific journal article, it often says “pay $35 to read this.” Did you know that $0 of that goes to the authors of the article? Just email us and we’ll be happy to send you a copy for free. We’re usually thrilled that anyone cares. 🧪🦑🦈

From “Some Thoughts on Chaos,” a novel in which Sutekh tries to explain why he murdered his brother. He has the stinkiest narration!

Ah, Nabu. The protective cloak of nepotism has served him well; his new temple truly is the pinnacle of self-masturbatory arrogance. The walls feature freshly-painted frescos proclaiming his divine achievements—like inventing writing and teaching it to the mortals—with little concern for the fact that Nabu did not, in fact, do that. I wonder if he’s deluded himself with some bullshit technicality to steal that accomplishment from Nisaba. I have to admit, though, I admire the bronze balls of a god willing to undermine a mentor who’s a thousand years his senior.

Imhotep is one of those gods who’s gotten a bad rap from modern media. Most folks know him as the famous “evil mummy” from The Mummy (1932) and its remake The Mummy (1999), but unfortunately those movies have taken his name and nothing more.

Fav thing while directing the Egyptian Gods kickstarter at @fursonapins.bsky.social is including obscure gods that entered the Egyptian corpus because I love them. Apedemak - Originates from ancient Nubia (Meroitic) Ash - obscure set-headed god of deserts and vineyards Peribsen really liked

apedemak, lion deity from meroitic religion

ash, obscure set-headed god referred to on wine labels during Peribsen’s reign
