I think the Sam Prekop, Luna and Dismemberment Plan ones are the most accessible and the Unwound, Faraquet and Q & Not U ones the least but its all just generic 90s indie and not experimental noise or anything

I'm happy to be a bad influence!!

Yeah! I might fire it up over the weekend and give it a go. Hope that it's more Puppet Motel than Adventures of the Smart Patrol

I love there's always a companion release in a cluster and then a big gap between them. Been meaning to research and write about his CD ROM games? as the articles for it are sparse as hell

I'm sorry they made you upset. Generally pole vaulting can be very a distressing thing to witness, it's usually advised not to watch it alone

did you watch all 105 minutes of this or just the clips where their cock and ass gently caress the bar upon their descent

I should probably crosspost more haha

ryan @cybreco.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Yeah the fragmentation is wild, I feel I have to delegate my attention across several platforms to co-ordinate a social presence. I feel like the best one can do is just keep posting, somewhere

Penthouse is by Luna, album led by Dean Wareham of dream pop pioneer band Galaxie 500, moving to something cleaner. This has some really strong guitar work on it; Tom Verlaine (Television) does the solo on this track for some reason? These guys were extremely prolific. youtu.be/VDkY3NCGxK8?...

Also a s/t, Telescopes' sophomore is an abrasive shoegaze band signed to Creation and making a studied folk record instead. Frontman Stephen Lawrie went on to make a *lot* of noise music so this is a glorious, contemplative one-off fusion of genres out of place in 1992. youtu.be/jKu9HL6RpuU?...

May as well inundate you with it. Sam Prekop (of Sea and Cake s/t) is a indie bossa nova album with chicago heavyweight John McEntire on it and Jim O'Rourke producing. A really beautiful iteration of the jazzy turn indie pop took in the 00s. youtu.be/5SyY8CSFxis?...

you're right, it was "acquired" at the end of 2022 and feels like anything pre-exodus gets relegated back to a mid 2010s artefact of a bygone era

locktober is a traditional holiday and important month in the queer cultural calendar. every october, the community comes together and celebrates the virtues of temperance and chastity through rituals of trust and self-control. in a time of waning cultural cohesion we must embrace tradition
