Christopher Cwynar @cwynar.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I respect this approach. If instructors spend a significant amount of time policing AI use, we won't be able to devote sufficient time to the students working in good-faith who really need and deserve our attention and assistance. That's the hidden cost of trying to control AI use. 073
Christopher Cwynar @cwynar.bsky.social · 19/09/2026I did that same thing last week (most recently lol). Frozen pizza seems to produce this outcome. My theory is that I reach for the product when we're starved. When it emerges, I almost can't believe it has materialized so quickly. The result is that I lose my mind and forget to allow it to cool. 110

Christopher Cwynar @cwynar.bsky.social · 13/08/2026It's difficult to find any angle from which the publication of this AI-authored essay isn't a huge mistake. Christopher Cwynar @cwynar.bsky.social · 21/12/2025Whatever one thinks of AI, this sort of practice will turbocharge academia's decline by a) calling the credibility of the work into question when it's discovered and b) creating contradictions between professional recs and the standards many profs have for their students. The Israel point notwithstanding, he's still the founder and a cycling nut. 130
