Spent all day being a Handy Ma'am and finally installed a storm door at the back entrance. Eventually I'll replace the entry door too to get rid of the dog door. I guess they're great if you have a dog, but terrible if you live through Midwest winters and storms.

Went to a vinyl warehouse storage sale today. Tons of $1 and $3 records. Although this wasn't discounted, I found the soundtrack to Strange Behavor, composed by Tangerine Dream. Score. The movie and soundtrack are both awesome.

I watched a documentary about a river in Australia that is full of sharks and saltwater crocodiles. I'm gonna mention that again. Crocodiles and sharks in the same waters. And yeah, they're eating each other. That's the stuff of nightmares. Reality is so much more terrifying than fiction.

Finally finished the scarecrow. If anyone wants to dress their 5' skeleton, they wear a boys large shirt and women size 0 jeans. The boots are a men's size 9.5 but I'm sure an 8.5 would fit.

I'm a thrift store junky. One of my favorites has a 50% off the entire store sale 3 times a year. Today was that day. Found some jeans that I'd never heard of the name brand. They fit like a glove. Looked up the brand to find they're normally $238. I paid a couple of dollars for them.

My mom was a seamstress as long as I could remember. She started teaching me to sew when I was five. She had a serger, but it always seemed to piss her off, so I never asked to learn it. I bought this Singer serger new years ago, and today, I finally sat down to learn how to thread and adjust it.

When I'm browsing books in a store, I sometimes wonder, who decides when an author's name should be ten times bigger than the title on the cover? How famous do you have to be before it doesn't matter what the title is, just that your name is so big that it reaches out and slaps anyone walking by?
