I think for normal up-close portraits or landscape shots, the RAWs win, for sure. I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth losing the detail on zoom shots -- like with these concert photos -- in order to keep a more old-school, less processed look.

Another example. The phone's JPEG on the left obviously has more detail, but it's almost so sharp it looks fake. Like an oil paint filter was placed on it. Using the RAWs, I'm only able to sharpen so much, and it doesn't fully bring back all the details, but it feels more like a real memory/photo.

Decided to turn RAW/Jpeg on in my phone's camera settings. The RAWs are definitely a bit more blurry because the phone's digital processing isn't compensating for the fact that phone cameras are actually small and shitty, but I like the way it keeps it looking more natural and nostalgic.
