I JFDI'd today 1st pop-up barbershop attempt was a stronger success than anticipated. Learned a lot that will make the next one even better while feeling super validated in my assumptions that led to this approach. Met neighbors and met even more dogs. All winning.

Yesterday in haircut, color and design work. Also, I did my first facial and passed that practical exam.

btw, my man Eric, a fellow barbering student about 300 hours out from his license (and in high school) got me *decent* for the show. I was told it was "crayon" which I guess is a thing.

freehand design work, using a straight razor and a tattoo trimmer, carved into the side of my low fade.

I'll be honest I was not a huge fan of LCD Soundsystem but now that I experienced that shit live? holy hell did I become a fan. I haven't danced that much, that hard, at a show, in a long long time

I think I’m going to put together a set themed on empowerment. And coming on 🔀 Prince seemed to put words to something I need to be saying for myself. music.apple.com/us/album/pre...

Prettyman
Prince
If you want to be my baby
Got to tell me so
Overconfident lady
Better act like you know If you want to be my baby Come on, take my hand
Tell me that you wanna get with a prettyman
Everywhere I go, people stop and stare
They just wanna see me swing this pretty hair
